Young people in the Middle East have increasingly been using the Internet to gather, share, disseminate, collaborate, and organize. Creative and brave, they mobilized across the region and beyond and used social media tools such as Twitter, Youtube and Facebook to ďŹ ght injustice and oppressive regimes.

Harbouring a crush on his literature teacher Karen, Marlon is determined to impress her by learning to dance once he discovers that she moonlights as a choreographer and dance teacher. Using the lyrical interplay between poetry and dance as a metaphor for the interplay of feminist and queer concerns, the ďŹ lm is a rare gem in Filipino cinema.

A dour family of four learns the obligations and consequences of “Hospitalite when they take in a mysterious man as their live-in worker. Essentially timeless, this black comedy unfolds as a broad parable for post-industrialist Japan.

The biggest real estate developer in the world is – unsurprisingly – Chinese. And he is convinced opportunities are equal for all in China. But do the scaffold builder from the countryside and the car salesman from the Chinese capital share his belief in the Chinese Dream? Together, the three proďŹ les animate the miracle of China’s unprecedented rapid growth.

Romeo Eleven is an intimate portrait of a shy young man looking for love in all the wrong places. A path of lies slowly catches up to him before leading us to a surprising and moving conclusion.

These elders with dementia are slowly forgetting. Their family members begin to organize old photographs and pieces of memory. Perhaps the times that have been forgotten by elders will be remembered by their children in years to come, and become richer and more poignant. This is an engaging look at six elderly patients sadly and slowly losing their grip on reality and history.

Porte crosses 38 countries and 5 continents collecting footage of children drawing self-portraits around the world. Without a guiding narrative, the kids take centre stage. Yet this charming ďŹ lm is more than a reel of adorable kids and their antics; it is also a visual journey about art, creativity, and the power of the imagination.

Canned Dreams is a lyrical journey across the world. It builds a portrait of ordinary workers, through their own personal stories. All this happens in a frame of following a route of one canned food product, which starts its journey from other side of the world and travels all across Europe.
