The event takes place in the indoor arena on: Saturday August 18, 2012 - 5:30 pm Sunday August 19, 2012 - 9:00 am The roping of livestock, whether to catch a stray, brand cattle, or treat sick stock is part of everyday life for a rancher and has been in practice for centuries. Today, with competitive ranch roping, riders of any skill level and age can hone their skills and compete in this sport provided that they are on a horse that has a little “cow savvy” and is responsive to signals using one hand on the rein in combination with leg and body cues. Team Roping is back again at this year’s fall fair. Come out and watch this exciting event and cheer on the competitors.
