CLASS OF 2012
Congratulations on becoming our 2012 graduating class. At KCS, we believe that the most fruitful starting point for a child’s journey into literacy and life-long learning is to be found in his or her realization of who God is. Such a starting point aptly prepares each child for the fact that ‘the most profound learning ends in mystery. Real learning is the path to humility, trust, and faith.’ And so, for each of you, graduation is a special moment along your own personalized path towards humility, trust and faith. It is a marker on a path that culminates on the other side of graduation in a destination that encompasses all of life—a life that includes our accepting and attending appropriately to God, our fellow citizens and ourselves. We have aimed at nurturing your emotions, imagination and sense of community, so that faith’s perspective might be yours—so that you might know Him and the world biblically. We have enjoyed your being a part of the King’s community. Our prayer is that the One calling you by name, whose love fulfills and unfolds the one true story of the world, may meet you at the place of your and your neighbour’s deepest longings and grant each of you the intimacy, significance and drive for which He has created all of human life. Congratulations!

2012 Graduates Congratulations Graduates as you prepare for the rite of passage, secondary school graduation. Graduation from Grade 12 is our society’s symbolic way of witnessing the culmination of your first 13 years of formal learning. With this ceremony we are saying that as young men and women you are prepared for the next step on the continuous journey of life long learning. It is my greatest wish that we the staff (teachers, principals and support staff) have prepared you well for the future. I hope you have been inspired to continue your studies, whatever they may be, and you will persevere in the face of all the challenges to come. Please remember all the lessons you have learned not only in the classroom but on the playground and from your friends and parents. These experiences may be some of your most valuable, for you may build upon the art of making and keeping relationships which are often the foundation of a successful life. Look at life optimistically and you will find the best of it. Laugh a lot and life will smile back at you. And, more importantly, respect others and all the world about you for in return you will be respected.
Best of luck and congratulations
