October marks a very significant month in our industry, celebrating transport month. Transport Month is an annual event in South Africa held every October to highlight the critical role of the transport and logistics sector in the economy. Declared in 2005 Transport is recognised for the role it plays in our economy, contributing about 6 5% of our GDP
The Transport industry is a vital enabler for other key economic sectors, including mining, agriculture, manufacturing, and is essential for economic growth and stability This industry also opens doors to a high amount of job opportunities In celebrating transport month, we are encouraging all magicians to consider our 1st Value, Safety-First. Be intentional about living our values this month
In October we are also recognising Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Let us spread the awareness' by wearing our Pink Ribbon of support Join some of our magicians who have signed up for the Cancer Walkathon on 26 October 2025 in Rosebank and be a cheerleader. We encourage cancer screening for both men and women this month.
Lastly, we are delighted to welcome our newly appointed GM for BML Port Elizabeth branch, Ms Yandiswa Biyana who brings much needed expertise and experience in operations and logistics that will take our Port Elizabeth division to higher heights. Please give her a warm and BLACKAGiCAL welcome

On 22 September, Shift C achieved an exceptional milestone while loading the MV Kirry Manx for our client S32, reaching a total of 5,653 tons far exceeding the usual 3,500–4,000-ton target!

On Tuesday, 23 September 2025, at the 9th Annual China–South Africa Trade Fair held at the Gallagher Convention Centre, Paul Phume, representing BLACKMAGiC TECH, signed a landmark Trade Sales Agreement with Chilwee Battery China, the manufacturers of AMPower Durathon Sodium Batteries.
This agreement signifies a major step by one of the world’s leading battery manufacturers in advancing investment into battery technology and energy storage solutions across the African continent
BLACKMAGiC TECH is proud to be at the forefront of this collaboration, working closely with our partners in China to ensure that this growth commitment is effectively implemented and supported throughout the markets in which we operate
A Special Farewell!
After 12 amazing years in the business in various roles and recently as Technical and Asset Manager, Mr Muvhengwa has left the business to pursue other interests, we hope that he will also have time for one that is close to his heart, farming.
