EJ 2076: Make America JUST Again
A 50-Year Plan to Advance Democracy, Environmental Justice, and Health Equity
As the United States of America marks its 250th anniversary, we are called to critically examine the foundational injustices in our environmental and health landscapes while collectively building a roadmap toward the nation’s 300th anniversary in 2076. The EJ Movement’s legacy of community-led struggle, from Warren County to present-day battles against emerging threats like AI data centers, informs our path forward.
Founded in 2011, CEEJH INC is a national leader in confronting environmental injustices and health inequities rooted in environmental racism, structural inequality, and neoliberal policies. We INpower underserved and overburdened communities through community science, collaborative problem-solving, and partnerships with grassroots organizations. Our work blends education, outreach, capacity-building, research, and technology to create lasting impact. Based in the Mid-Atlantic and connected nationwide, we serve as a bridge—linking frontline and fenceline communities, community-based organizations, advocates, health professionals, educators, researchers, policymakers, and government agencies. Together, we drive community-centered solutions that advance environmental justice and health equity.
Mission: To INpower fenceline, frontline, and underserved communities to resist ongoing environmental, climate, energy, and health injustices so everyone can thrive in just, equitable, and sustainable futures.

Highlights of the 2025 Symposium
Last year, the CEEJH INC presented an impactful symposium with the theme of The People’s Agenda: Resistance, Resilience, and RESToration with nearly 100 sessions, and nearly 300 excellent speakers, workshop facilitators, and session moderators from around the county and the world. Over 3,500 people registered for in-person and virtual sessions including stakeholders from impacted communities worldwide, EJ groups, green groups, academia, government, policymakers, workers, and business/industry.
The CEEJH INC Connection
The CEEJH INC EJ Symposium has a rich history of connecting community leaders, advocacy groups, legal professionals, government officials, researchers, and students to promote and protect the health of communities impacted by environmental, climate, and energy injustice. The previous symposia have highlighted the work of local community organizers, leaders, advocates, and allies. This year, we will again include peer-to-peer workshops with our MidAtlantic Justice Coalition (MAJC) members partners including Centro de Apoyo Familiar, Empower DC, Overbrook Environmental Education Center, Sussex Health and Environmental Network, South Ward Environmental Alliance, and United Parents Against Lead. This year, the symposium will have 75+ sessions related to technical assistance, organizational development, capacity-building, coaching, grant writing sessions, and more. In the days leading up to Symposium, we will launch the inaugural International EJ Summit, to be held virtually.
