We are excited to welcome you to the 2018 USA National Miss District of Columbia Pageant. USA National Miss was designed to award young women for their accomplishments, and to mentor them to reach their goals and unleash their true potential. We encourage young women to be graceful, articulate, and accomplished females with strong values and self-worth. USA National Miss presents a positive approach to pageantry. We strive to develop leadership, public speaking, and communication skills while building selfconfidence among the nation’s young women. With our unique approach, USA National Miss is changing the face of pageantry.
This weekend the contestants will have the opportunity to showcase their modeling ability in our runway competition and show grace and elegance during the formal wear competition. They will also have to express themselves in the interview competition. Delegates will also get to show off their many talents in our Talent, Supermodel, Role Model, Casual Wear, Modeling Portfolio, Spokesmodel, and Photogenic competitions. The USA National Miss District of Columbia staff has prepared a pageant weekend packed with exciting activities such as our Pageant Workshop, Hawaiian Luau Party, and NYFW Model Casting. We are excited to get to know each delegate and their families this weekend! To the 2017 USA National Miss District of Columbia Royalty: Sophia, Peyton, Raigan, Taikhiri, Clark, Julianna, and Karmeshia; I am so proud of all that you have accomplished during your reign this year. It has been a pleasure to work with you all. I look forward to watching you to continue to grow and excel in all you set your mind to do. I appreciate your hard work and dedication to the community and thank you for your service. Thank you to all who have exhibited teamwork for the weekend to come together. We would not be here without your commitment. The 2017 USA National Miss Queens would like to wish all the delegates good luck and we look forward to welcoming a new group of ladies to the UNM Family. Antoneo Lee
A
ntoneo Lee developed an interest in fashion while in high school. He attended John Casablanca's modeling school where he learned the basic principles of confidence, makeup, acting and runway. It was not until after Antoneo Lee moved to New York City to pursue a modeling career, that he developed a desiie to train people to walk with individuality, grace and confidence like the models they admired. Antoneo Lee has trained models who have worked with Maggie Laine; who has walked in the Victoria Secret fashion show; and Nisaa Pouncey, who is VS Pink model. In conjunction with other professional models from other agencies, he has worked directly with Next Model Management in New York City. The world of Pageantry was not planned but became a new area of passion for Antoneo when he judged for Miss Teen America, IJM International, Miss DC Teen USA and Miss DC USA. He coached the reigning USA National Preteen to her recent national victory. and is currently working with a high profile national client in preparation for an International pageant. inosha Soden, is the former Mrs. DC America 2016 and the creator, producer and host of Good Things DC, a weekly lifestyle show and podcast. She is also a partner and medical practitioner at Soderma Dermatology, alongside her husband, Dr. Cyl Soden, Jr. and their parents. Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Kinosha attended the University of Missouri, in St. Louis, attaining two undergraduate degrees in Biology and Business, and continuing on to Washington University of St. Louis, where she received her M.A.S. in Biomedical Engineering and Analytics. A passionate advocate of STEM education for youth and especially schoolaged girls, Kinosha has served as a GEMS Organization, (Girls Excelling in Math and Science) advisor, educator and facilitator for over 15 years. On January 3, 2017, Kinosha received special recognition from United States Congresswoman, Eleanor Holmes Norton, for her dedication and work in STEM education within the District of Columbia. On that day, the American flag was flown over the United States Capital Building in Kinosha’s honor.
NICKEELIAH FREEMAN

ickeeliah Freeman the CEO/Founder of In His Image Modeling Agency & Modeling School is a native of Jamaica, Nickeeliah wanted to model since she was able to wear her own clothes. At age 14, she relocated to the United States and resided in the fashion capital, New York City. As anyone could imagine, it was a dream come true! In 2000, she was accepted to Coppin State University in Baltimore, Maryland. It was there, that her vision started to become clearer. After graduating with her B.S. in Business and Accounting, Nickeeliah started her modeling agency in 2010. "In His Image Modeling" is a faith-based organization which was created for young men and women who may be struggling with their true identity. They currently specialize in model training, self-esteem development, model management and event planning. They hold model development self-esteem classes for ages 5 and up. They manage children, female and male models from all ethnic background and religion backgrounds. In his Image models have been published in several magazines and books, and has worked with top celebrity designers and photographers.
JILL ANNETTE SHORT

ill Annette Short is an avid motivational speaker and emcee, author/writer and musician, model, freelance interpreter, owner of RJS Investments LLC, and a passionate advocate/ambassador with Stop the Silence®, Always a Voice®, and the Center for Abused Persons (CAP), working to combat childhood abuse and domestic violence through awareness, prevention, empowerment, and education. She is passionately pursuing every opportunity in her path to be an even “louder voice” to fight for the voiceless, to put an end to abuse, assault, and trafficking in Maryland, the United States, and across the globe. In keeping with her commitment to be the change she wishes to see in the world, she travels extensively speaking in schools, churches, conferences, fundraiser events, and radio shows. Her heart is to showcase the power of dreaming big, loving the skin you’re in, and learning to thrive rather than merely survive. She has been enthiastically involved in regional, state, and national level competitions for more than a decade as a contestant, dance/pageant mom, a performer/vocalist, and was crowned Mrs. District of Columbia US Continental 2017 (4RU Mrs. US Continental). Jill lives life to the fullest with her husband and children in Southern Maryland and is currently serving her community as Mrs. Southern MD America. JULIE CANGIALOSI
J
ulie Cangialosi is Mrs. District of Columbia America 2017. The judges crowned Julie on March 18, 2017, at the Embassy of France in Wachington, DC and she will move on to compete at Mrs. America in August. She competed touting the platform of pregnacy loss and miscarriage awareness. As a mother of a double rainbow, she emphasized the need to bring awareness to a cause that is often not spoken aboutbut affects many. Julie graduated from Russell Sage College in Troy, NY with a degree in Nutrition Science. Immediately following graduation, she started her Dietetic Internship at the University of Connecticut, where she had her research published as a co-arthor in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association in 2003. Julie parleyed her science background into pharmaceutical sales and currently works for Novartis Pharmaceuticals. Her love for health and fitness inspired her to become a fitness professional, instructing Barre and Palaties classes at Vida Fitness in downtown DC. Julie is married to James Cangialosi, a Special Agent with theAir Force Office of Special Investigations. Her hobbies include swimming with sharks, traveling, trying new receipes, and enjoying sporting events, especially the Washington Capitals, with her family.
