I want to take a minute to say Thank You to so many who have supported Ohio through out the year! First… to our National Director, Jackie Watson! What an amazing woman! To know you is to love you. Not only do you lead your directors and staff with determination and excellence, but you do it with grace, dignity and faith! I am amazed at every Nationals you even seem to know each and every State title holder by name. That little gesture meant the world to my 2018Queens and made them feel so special. Your support of UNM Ohio especially has been extraordinary. So honored to be a part of the number one pageant system in the Nation!
Next… to my personal mentor and friend, Deb Landry. Not only do you run your own fabulous UNM systems for the state of Maine…but you are there to answer any questions, and offer assistance at the “drop of a hat” when we all know you have a full plate yourself! Thank you isn’t enough. Your state directors would not be where they are today without your assistance and caring! To my staff… Choreographer/ Productions Manager..Mikayla Colwell. You have gone above and beyond your duties outlined. You are a beautiful young woman inside and out. The queens and delegate love you. What a amazing leap from being USA National Miss Ohio 2016 to becoming part of the staff in such an accomplished way. I only hope the National staff doesn’t take you from us too soon! Operations Manager, Trisha Colwell. You have a full time business and yet find time at all hours of day and night to take on yet another complex position with UNM Ohio. You keep us all grounded, share your love and remind us with faith all things are possible. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!! Can’t wait for next year! To the 2018 Reigning Royalty... It has been my honor, and privilege to be your state director for the past few months. You always greet me with open arms and hearts. You are all such goal oriented, beautiful young women and you will go far in life! It didn’t matter what I asked of you…you all gave with no hesitation. Promoting your platform, the Crown Cares, and even starting your own organizations and platforms which incorporate all of the message of anti-bullying and kindness. Treating everyone you meet along your journey as very special people! Your beauty radiates with every step each of you take each and every day. I will not say goodbye…but I will say WELCOME! You are each one now members of the of our UNM OHIO LEGACY!! Love to you all!! Thank you! JAELYNN HOLTZ 2018 USA NATIONAL MISS OHIO MISS
Jealynn Holtz is a young woman with a passion to serve and help others. Jealynn is a junior at The Ohio State University is Columbus where she is majoring in Nutrition with a business concentration. Jealynn’s ambition in life is to soon attend Ohio State’s prestigious dental school to one day become an oral surgeon. On the way to this dream, Jealynn is currently a certified dental assistant and has volunteered numerous hours in a local dental clinic in her town. On Ohio State’s campus Jealynn is highly involved in her sorority, Alpha Xi Delta, with whom she supports and raises awareness for Autism Speaks. Jealynn is also highly involved with Nationwide Children’s Hospital where she serves as a member of the Family Advisory Council. Along with this, Jealynn also volunteers weekly on a patient unit where she is able to interact one on one with the current patients on her floor. She also works to combine the efforts of UNM’s national platform, The Crown C.A.R.E.S. with the efforts of the Look Up Center to educate children and young adults on the effects of bullying towards dental issues that may affect them in hopes of spreading a positive message and in turn causing people to be more accepting of one another’s’ differences. Jealynn has had an amazing year as the USA National Miss Ohio and truly has fallen in love with everything this system stands for. Placing in the top 6 in the nation was more than she could’ve asked for and can’t express how thankful she is for her amazing time at nationals. She had an amazing year with her sister queens and will miss them all once they give up their 2018 Ohio titles! To her Ohio sister queens, as well as her UNM sisters across the nation: “Thank you so much for making my year as USA National Miss Ohio one of my best years yet. The opportunities that came with this title were endless and I can’t believe this year with you all is already coming to a close. I could not have asked for a better group of girls and families to spend my year with.” To Patty, Mikayla, and Trisha: “Thank you so so much for everything you did for my sister queens and I, especially the week of nationals. We all couldn’t have had the success we did during our year without the endless help and support from you three!” And finally, to my successor: “Take lots of pictures and be true to who you are. Get involved as much as you can, and I can assure you, you will have a successful and wonderful year.”
GIGI VITALE 2018 USA NATIONAL MISS OHIO TEEN Giovanna, aka Gigi, likes to describe her life as “controlled chaos”. Eighteen years old, she recently graduated high school with honors at Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin and is now attending The Ohio State University with a major in chemical engineering. She was a competitive cheerleader for 11 years but now enjoys writing in her blog, photography, and decorating shoes in her free time. Gigi’s platform is “Acceptance and Love”, a message she carries through coaching special needs cheerleaders, delivering positivity online, and as a missionary to third world countries like Jamaica. As a UNM Queen, Gigi added The Crown C.A.R.E.S. to this platform, teaching children about respect and kindness in school. UNM brought so many amazing opportunities into Gigi’s life. At nationals, she worked with and met many inspiring women including Nia Sanchez, Savvy Shields, Kristen Dalton, and Mallory Hagan. Leading up to nationals, she worked with designer Fernando Wong to complete her wardrobe. This has all been thanks to UNM! Gigi will miss getting to see all her sister queens so often but knows they will Keep in touch. This year’s contestants should enjoy their weekend and soak in all the opportunities UNM has to offer. Pageant weekend is best when you’re relaxed and present in the moment. Should you be crowned, make the most of your year. USA National Miss is a family. CHARLENE WESTFALL 2018 USA NATIONAL MISS BUCKEYE STATE Charlene was so proud to have made the Top 15 at nationals, as well as winning 1st runner up in the Role Model competition and receiving the honorable Bronze Presidential Service Award. She is a junior at The Ohio State University, where she double majors in Fashion and Spanish, and aspires to be a couture bridal gown designer. Every semester, she earns a spot on the Dean’s List and has a full tuition scholarship at Ohio State. On campus, Charlene stays busy by being a teaching assistant for a cultural fashion class, a member of Kappa Alpha Theta, and a PINK campus representative. This bilingual beauty also enjoys creating original designs for the runway, blogging about body positivity on First Aid Physique, and traveling the world. Her community service involvement includes volunteering for Autism based organizations, Camp Sunshine disability camp, Fairy Goodmothers, Mid-Ohio Food Bank, and CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates). Her passion for serving others was inspired by her brother, Bryan, who has autism. “With my title, I have helped alleviate the bullying of kids with disabilities being mainstreamed into school systems and educated people about the importance of inclusivity.” With her crown, she has continued spreading body positivity with her blog, and incorporated this into the Crown CARES platform to end body shaming. She is an advocate for all people who struggle with body image. Charlene is truly entrepreneurial, optimistic, and inspirational to many.
BELLA MOTTO 2018 USA NATIONAL MISS BUCKEYE STATE TEEN Isabella Grace Motto, 16 of Georgetown Ohio is your Miss Buckeye State Teen 2018\. She is a junior at Georgetown High School. Bella enjoys dance, traveling and water sports such as deep-‐sea fishing, boating and jet skiing. This year has been very exciting! Proud to represent UNM in the Brown County Fair Parade and the Circleville Pumpkin Festival Parade, Bella made appearances with her sister queens at Miss Ohio USA pageant and volunteered at the Spirit of Charity pageant just to name a few! One very rewarding experience this year was through a program Isabella founded called T.E.C.H. -‐ Teaching and Educating Children on How to Use Social Media. Through T.E.C.H. Bella was able to speak to young girls about the importance of Internet safety and etiquette. For two years Bella has also been a mentor for a girls program called #GirlStrong where she had the opportunity to work with young women and inspire them to be the best versions of themselves. UNM’s forum 2018 held in Hilton Head Island, SC was a great way to learn about nationals and in the process, make new friends from across the country. Just a few short months later, Isabella was able to go to Orlando, FL and experience UNM National’s as Miss Buckeye State Teen. It was an incredible opportunity for her! She was awarded 4th runner up cover model, 4th runner up supermodel. Isabella was crowned your 2018 Talented Miss Teen USA National Miss with her Contemporary Dance performance about the lasting effects of childhood bullying in a dance called “To This Day.” This year was made special by having the opportunity to work with some of the most amazing advisors, coaches and friends willing to offer a helping hand or their expert advice. Special thanks to Ashley, Austin, Amanda, Jorge, Maria-‐Teresa, Angela, Fernando, Lisa and a special thank you to Miss Patty Hannika for her love and support through the year and to Trisha and Mikayla for always being a source of knowledge and guidance! “Thank you to Miss Jackie Watson and her daughter, Kayla for everything they did to make my experience with USA National Miss meaningful and memorable. KAYLA JARDINADO. 2018 USA NATIONAL MISS BUCKEYE STATE JR TEEN Kayla Jardinado is a 14-year-old honor student at Williamsburg High School. She is a cheerleader, part of the drama club, and is a teacher’s assistance for the elementary school. Kayla enjoys creating in different mediums of art. As of now, she would like to attend the California Institute of Art to pursue work in multimedia arts and design. This past year has been a fun filled and enriching experience. Believe it or not, USA National Miss Ohio was Kayla’s first ever pageant where she was awarded her title Miss Buckeye State Jr. Teen. After receiving her title, she loved representing Ohio in parades, meeting Miss Universe Iceland, and sharing the message of CROWN Cares (Creating a Respectful Environment in School). In conjunction with the CROWN Cares program, Kayla created a platform known as TAB, Teens Against Bullying. She has also collected and donated to the Children’s National Cancer Society and her local homeless shelter. Kayla’s personality shines through in her favorite quote, “Be the Froot Loop in a bowl of Cheerios.” Kayla has enjoyed getting to know her sister queens and wanted to thank them for their help in her first year. A special thank you to Mikayla and Patty for all of your help, advice and encouragement. To the new queens: “Enjoy every minute and don’t forget that your crown will present you with new opportunities and most importantly, new ways to help others, and that is the best prize.”
ASHLEY BLACK 2018 USA NATIONAL MISS OHIO PRETEEN Ashley Black is a little girl with a big heart and a big voice. Ashley loves to sing and dance and give big hugs! Ashley takes classical voice lessons and is training to be an opera singer. She sings in Italian, Latin and English. She is proud to have been named the USA National Talented Miss Princess for the past two years. Ashley has loved being a part of USA National Miss. Through this system, Ashley has made friends with such wonderful and kind girls from all over the United States. Ashley loves to help with Footprints Center for Autism. She also takes the USA National Miss National Charity Crown C.A.R.E.S. message to as many as will listen to her. She wants to help end bullying in our schools. Ashley has started her own campaign called “Special Friendship League” to help teach children and adults about how bullying effects special needs children and how to stand up for those that can not speak for themselves. Ashley has loved every moment she has had with her Ohio sister Queens! These past three years with UNM have been amazing! To her sister Queens in Ohio and elsewhere: “I love you all and miss you! But we can keep in touch as you will always be my sisters!” And to all the new contestants: “I can’t wait to meet you and have fun with you at the Ohio pageant! LYNZEE ENSELL 2018 USA NATIONAL MISS JR PRINCESS Lynzee Ensell is tiny but she sure is mighty! Lynzee loves to dance and tumble! Lynzee trains and competes on two competition dance teams one at Studio 19 Dance Complex and one at Dance Force Elite. You can find Lynzee standing on her hands most of the time. Lynzee is proud to be named the 2018 USA National Talented Miss Jr Princess. She was also awarded a scholarship for having the highest scoring talent ages 4-25 at this years nationals! If she is not dancing, you can find her acting, modeling, or playing with her new baby brother! Lynzee loves reading to her brother and tickling him. Lynzee started a program at her school this year called “It is Cool to be Kind” to help promote anti-bullying. She wants to help children everywhere like her teacher helped her when she was being bullied. Lynzee also loves participating in “Stuff a Bus” and performing at the Breast Cancer fundraiser. UNM has brought Lynzee so many new friends from across the country. She will never forget the friends she has met this year. Her best friend at nationals, Emory, even took home the National Crown! To my Ohio sisters: I love you all!! Thank you for being the big sisters I have always wanted! I cannot wait to see where life takes each and every one of you! Thank you to Miss Patty for giving me one of the best years of my life filled with many opportunities and love! To my successor: Have fun, be kind, and enjoy the journey you’re about to experience! BRENNAH SWEENEY 2018 USA NATIONAL MISS OHIO PRINCESS I am so thankful for UNM and all the opportunities they have provided. I have had an amazing year making new friends and memories that will last a life time. During my reign as USA National Miss Miss Ohio princess. I have had the opportunities to give back to my community. My time was spent serving the community a pancake supper at a local church, participating in a fashion show which raised money for an organization that helps those in need in our community, a fashion shot for Footprints Center for Autism as a way to raise funds and awareness for autism as well as many other community service projects. I want to thank all of those who have supported and encouraged me along the way. A special thank you to MS. Patty for all your love and support and the special gifts I would receive in the mail. As well as Mikayla for helping me at nationals and being a remarkable friend. I am truly blessed to be a part of the amazing UNM family. I want to wish my successor all the best of luck with her reign and I hope she is as blessed as I was. Hold onto your dress because it’s going to be a wild ride. Emcees Kellie Hall KELLIE HALL, A graduate of the United States Naval Academy in 2014, currently serves active duty as a Navy Lieutenant. Originally from Stafford, Virginia, life as a “Navy Brat” taught her to be outgoing, spontaneous, and adventurous after moving a total of nine times. Her career in the Navy led to a multitude of opportunities, to include a Western Pacific (WESTPAC) deployment in the summer of 2014 while stationed onboard USS PINCKNEY (DDG-91) out of San Diego, CA. Later Kellie was selected as a Human Resources Officer, which propelled her career in navy recruiting and public relations. This transition into Human Resources is what brought her to be stationed in Columbus, Ohio in fall of 2016—and ultimately what launched her start in MISS OHIO USA. Kellie first competed in MISS OHIO USA in 2016, her first-ever pageant, with the hope of making new friends after only living in Ohio for a month. It was this first competition she discovered her love for empowering others as well as pageantry. After two years of competing, Kellie walked away as 2x finalist at MISS OHIO USA and 2x “Miss Congeniality” winner. The juxtaposition of pageant competitor and Naval Lieutenant gained the attention of many because it “broke the stereotype” of what women in uniform and gowns had the capability to do. Since, Kellie has been featured in the upcoming Navy Documentary “Faces of the Fleet” as well as multiple segments on GOOD DAY COLUMBUS highlighting this very empowering female moment. Currently, Kellie spends her time juggling multiple hats: an entrepreneur, Model at NV Models, Naval Officer, marketing and events lead for Bumble, and 2x Miss Congeniality at Miss Ohio USA. When Kellie is not busy working to connect others or recruit Navy Doctors, you can find her making time for her portrait photography business, traveling, sharing fashion tips, or driving in her yellow mini cooper.
& Mark Jardinado Mark Jardinado was born and raised, in what is known to some as the fashion capital of the world, New York, New York. He is a great husband to a wonderful wife and proud father of three beautiful girls, one of whom is the current reigning Miss Buckeye State Jr. Teen for the state of Ohio. Throughout life he has always been determined and aspired to be the best at every aspect of his life. He currently works in the IT industry, for a globally renowned Cisco Systems partner, and for the last few years, has been working on his business, Ohio Pageant Productions and Events, which recently organized a successful EXPO in Ohio's capital city, Columbus. As founder of Ohio Pageant Productions and Events, he recently felt the need for additional insight and assistance, which is why he decided on the addition of the talented, Mikayla Colwell, as its COO. Ohio Pageant Productions and Events currently have exposure in major cities around the nation such as New York City, Daytona Beach, Orlando, Austin, Columbus, Cincinnati, where he currently resides, and as far as Honolulu, Hawaii. With the help of his new business partner, he hopes to expand the business to more areas and raise additional awareness of the pageant world and its many benefits such as empowering the young women of this country and providing them with multiple venues to achieve their dreams, as well as the global impact of spreading its messages of kindness, caring, and charity. As you travel the pageant world, you may hear him speaking the aforementioned message of Positive Pageantry and its effects on today's youth and many generations to come. He is an avid portrayer of living life to its fullest potential. He believes that young women who enter the pageant world, learn or expand their knowledge on how to overcome any obstacles in life, to reach that potential.

Emcee Gracie Fusco Optionals year and has earned a full scholarship to The University of Alabama where she plans on attending, to study broadcast journalism upon graduation. Gracie is a competitive dancer who has earned five National Dance Scholarships. Gracie has a heart for service and loves giving back to her community. She has earned the Gold Presidential Service Award the last four years. Gracie has been involved in pageants since the age of five. She has proudly earned ten state and six national titles ~ two of which she is especially proud of ~ USA National Preteen 2012 & USA National Jr. Teen 2015! GRACIE FUSCO is a 17 year old honor student who attends Notre Dame Cathedral Latin High School in Chardon, Ohio. She is a senior this

Judges overall DENEEN PENN Miss Ohio USA 2018: Deneen Penn. This summer she represented the Great Buckeye State in Shreveport, Louisiana where she competed for the title of “Miss USA”, LIVE on Fox Network. Deneen Penn is currently a junior at Kent State University working towards obtaining her Bachelor in Business Administration. This past year, she earned her designation as a Beekeeper. With her entrepreneur spirit, she founded her own Honey Company, producing and selling her all natural honey. She is passionate about supporting local businesses, which led to her founding the program "The Worker Bee," where she helps empower young, aspiring entrepreneurs build successful companies of their own."
EMILY DIAZ Emily Diaz is a social worker with Hospice of Western Kentucky. She specializes in grief counselling and prides herself in helping individuals live with dignity through the final stages of life. She is a graduate of Western Kentucky University where she obtained a Master’s degree in Social Work. Born in Muhlenberg County Kentucky, Emily tends to her family farm where she spends her seasons hunting small and large game. Emily is an energetic member and leader in her community. She serves in leadership Muhlenberg County, is an active member of her Chamber of Commerce, Elder Abuse Counsel, Inner Agency, National Association of Social Workers, a marketing specialist, and is credited with opening the first domestic violence and sexual assault center in Muhlenberg County. Emily has been married for six years to her high school sweetheart, Tim. They regularly participate in various softball leagues, state wide billiard tournaments, and owns and rides her own Harley Davidson. Emily became involved in pageants in 2009 and has been competing and placing ever since. Her passion lies in the empowerment of women through pageantry, respecting the lasting traditions, as well as embracing the new practices in the pageant world.own."
ANNETTE BANKS CHASE Annette Banks Chase has been active in the world of pageantry for over 16 years as a Director, judge, emcee and interview coach. She is the current President and CEO of the Miss American Girl Scholarship pageant where the goal is to change the lives of young women by equipping them with tools to help them become successful. Mrs. Chase is an avid community service supporter and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated where she supports many platforms such as the American Cancer Society, Dayton Food Bank and the Daybreak Homeless Shelter. Mrs. Chase holds a MBA from Central Michigan University and is currently employed with the Department of Defense. She is the Chief of Business Enterprise Systems where she manages a $500M IT Program Portfolio. In her spare time she enjoys traveling and interior decorating. She is married to Mark Chase and is the proud mom of Kennedy Chase the 2016 Miss High School America. The Chase’s reside in Bellbrook, Ohio. USA NATIONAL MISS OHIO 2019 PAGE 14
Judges Optionals SUSAN BRDLEY WEST Since 2008, Susan West has hosted and organized competitions for thousands of graphic artists and writers. In 2010, her creative team received international recognition from highly acclaimed Maxis and Electronic Arts. Susan is the founder of StarJewel Publishing LLC, and is the Owner and Executive Director for American Royal Beauties and StarJewel Showcase, a talent and modeling based competition and pageant. She has an extensive background in business, accounting, and writing; and has operated and owned several successful ventures over the past 25 years
JORDAN TRACEY Jordan Tracey was born and raised outside of Boston Massachusetts and spent the majority of her time as a competitive dancer. After high school she enrolled in the dietetics program at Bowling Green State University where she currently stands as a junior. She is also a member of the Bowling Green State University Dance Team and spends a majority of her free time training and performing with the dance team at all home football games and home mens and womens basketball games. When she is not participating in the above you can find her teaching dance, enjoying the beach, on the stage as part of University Dance Alliance’s performances and of course, studying."
CHUCK BLAND Chuck Bland has been involved with pageantry since 1991. Judging both state and National levels attended University of Kentucky and Purdue University. He lives in Huber Heights Ohio and has been married for 40 years! he has three wonderful children and six grandchildren. Chuck loves helping people get healthy with his Health and Wellness Business and spending time with his wife and grandchildren traveling, He volunteers for many charities such Habitat for Humanity and the Alzheimer Foundation.

PATTY HANNIKA Ohio State Director

Originally from San Diego, California, Patty attended San Diego State where she majored in Music with a minor in Law. She was a member of the San Diego Symphony and also a professional cheerleader/dancer with the Rockets Basketball team. In her younger years she participated in the Miss America system and has continued her love of pageantry over the years by coaching and serving as a judge for local, state and national pageant systems. She is currently CEO of her own company and previously owned a successful bakery in Cincinnati for 8 years where her products were served at the Emmy’s in Hollywood, California and featured in Cincinnati Magazine. She has had the privilege of providing her products to well known people such as Nick and Vanessa Lachey and continues a working relationship with Stefan DuBois, editor of Emerging Magazine to the stars. She believes in “paying it forward” and is currently promoting fundraising events with non-profit organizations such as The Crowning Hearts, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, the American Heart Association and Kingdom Warriors for the homeless. Patty is a mother of 6 and a grandmother of 23 grandchildren. Her true passion is helping young people set goals and reach them through guidance, education and a strong faith.
MIKAYLA COLWELL Choreographer/Production Manager Mikayla Colwell has many years of experience both within the dance and pageant industry. Growing up dancing competitively and in college she has won numerous titles throughout her years. Pageantry has been something Mikayla has been passionate about for over half her life. She loves helping others pursue their dreams to be the best version of themselves that they can. When Mikayla is not doing choreography, or working behind the scenes at USA National Miss Ohio, you can find her at Bowling Green State University, where she is pursuing a degree in Apparel Merchandising and Product development with a minor in Marketing. With her passion and care for others, she loves to volunteer with the homeless, help those with heart disease, and those on hospice…she has held many fundraisers over the past few years, and is looking forward to working closely with the Crown Cares, UNM Ohio, and the new Ohio queens.
TRISHA COLWELL Production Staff/Operations Manager Trisha Colwell is the operations manager for USA National Miss Ohio. She is an Independent AdvoCare Distributor and has been helping others get healthy for over three years. Prior to that she was an office manager for a chiropractic office for 16 years. She has been married 21 years (this year) to her Husband, Lonnie Colwell, and has two beautiful children. Mikayla, her eldest has been competing in pageants since the age of 3 and she is currently a junior at Bowling Green State University. Her son, Brayson, is entering his first grade of school.
