ROOM REFRESH When cancer treatment brings families to Bismarck for weeks at a time, a safe, comfortable place to stay can make all the difference. Thanks to the Bismarck–Mandan Professional Women in Building (PWB), two of the Bismarck Cancer Center Foundation’s patient apartments now feel more like home than ever. What began as a plan to refresh a couple of bedrooms quickly grew into a full makeover of two entire apartments—including bedrooms, kitchens, living rooms, and key safety upgrades. Over the past several weeks, PWB members and partners coordinated design, demolition, construction, painting, décor, and deep cleaning to reimagine these spaces with healing and dignity in mind.
