AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES After School Activities (ASA) provide students with opportunities across a range of interest areas, including sports, performing arts, STEAM and creativity. These opportunities allow students to further explore their passions, try new experiences and make new friendships. ASAs for Early Years students include: ๏ ๏ ๏

INFORMATION DATES There will be 4 blocks throughout the school year where students can take part in ASAs. BISH Kids runs every day.
TIMES ASAs begin at 3:45pm and end at 4:45pm. Please collect your child from the Boma at 4:45pm. After school, Early Years students are supervised from the end of the school day until the start of their ASA.

CANCELLED ASAs Any ASAs cancelled due to external vendors or school staff will be credited to your child’s Schools Buddy account. There are no make-up sessions. If your child’s ASA is cancelled, and you are unable to collect them until 4:45pm, they will be booked into BISH Kids free of charge.

Schools Buddy is an integrated portal BIS Houston uses to organise bookings, sign-ups and other activities. You can sign up for BISH Kids and After School Activities through the Schools Buddy App. Log in here to access Schools Buddy. BISH KIDS Before & After School Childcare BISH Kids runs each school day throughout the year, with the exception of days where school finishes early (end of Autumn Term and end of Summer Term). At BISH Kids, children from EY - Year 6 will have the opportunity to engage in a range of fun activities, have indoor/outdoor play and have an afternoon snack with new friends.
LOCATION BISH Kids is located in the Early Years Learning Centre, just left to the main entrance of the school. Parents dropping and picking up may use the Early Years parking area.
MORNINGS Children can be dropped off at BISH Kids from 6:45am-8am. At 8am, the children are then escorted to their relevant playground where they will have outdoor play until 8:20am.
AFTERNOONS Afternoons in BISH Kids run from 3:30pm-6pm. At the end of the school day, children who are booked into BISH Kids will be taken to the Early Years Centre. If your child is attending an ASA, parents can also book a place for BISH Kids and the children will be taken to the Early Years Centre at 4:45pm when ASAs end.

BOOKING PROCESS Parents should book the required sessions through Schools Buddy. It is strongly recommended to book as far in advance as possible, as spaces are limited.
COST Mornings: $9 per session (per student) Afternoons: $16 per session (per student) Late Bookings: Mornings - $12 | Afternoons - $20 (at the discretion of BISH Staff)

ABRAKADOODLE DOODLERS Abrakadoodle art programmes are designed to build creative thinking and problem-solving skills in children. Our programmes focus on the elements of art, art techniques, styles, art history and the sequential development of skills. We provide specially trained, qualified art teachers and safe non-toxic art materials that bring an engaging multiarts experience to students. Come have fun and find your inner Artist!

ART CLUB A creative and engaging programme where children explore painting, drawing, crafts, and sensory art activities while building confidence, creativity, and fine motor skills in a fun, supportive environment.

BALLET & JAZZ Our Ballet/Jazz class is offered for children who are interested in learning a combination of dance styles in a high energy and fun atmosphere! Our dance classes along with our original music and choreography fuel and develop critical thinking and sharpen both cognitive and creative skills. *Winter Recital participation requires enrollment in both Block 1 & Block 2.

BEGINNER KARATE Focus on enhancing primary motor skills such as balance, coordination and movement control as well as mental skills like concentration. We also promote essential values such as discipline and respect.

BEGINNER TENNIS Beginner Tennis is an exciting and engaging programme designed to introduce young players to the fundamentals of tennis in a fun and supportive environment. Through specialised coaching and ageappropriate activities, kids can develop their skills, improve their coordination and cultivate a love for the game. It is the perfect way for little ones to stay active, make friends, and discover the joy of tennis!

BRICK BUILDER ADVENTURES Let your child's imagination come to life in our exciting Brick Builder Adventures Club! Each week, children will explore a new theme and use colourful Duplo bricks to design and build their own characters, animals, vehicles, buildings and special objects. From magical castles and jungle adventures to superheroes and space explorers, every session encourages creativity, problem-solving, communication and fine motor skill development.

COOK, LEARN, GROW Where Every Recipe Tells a Story - through adventures with Pootie and the Foodies, children build kitchen confidence, learn practical cooking skills and explore healthy eating in a fun, engaging way. Using story-inspired recipes and colorful foods, students are encouraged to try new foods, develop healthy habits, and discover the benefits of nutritious eating. Perfect for picky eaters, the programme makes food exploration fun and approachable. Please note that we only accommodate nut allergies; we are unable to accommodate egg, gluten or other food allergies. To prevent life-threatening reactions, we cannot enroll students who require an EpiPen for severe food allergies other than nuts.

DANCE FUN - TWINKLE STARZ Get ready to light up the dance floor! This fun and inspiring recreational combo class blends ballet with Kid-Hop and creative dance. Each class includes a dynamic warm-up, floor stretch, engaging routines, acrossthe-floor skills and unique age-appropriate choreography with kid friendly music. We highlight specific locomotor and non-locomotor skills to incorporate into fun and memorable routines to perform for family at the end of each block.

MATH EXPLORERS Math Explorers is built by Brain Power to introduce young learners to real mathematical thinking, not just number recognition. In this handson course, young mathematicians delve into the world of numbers, shapes and patterns, building the foundation for a lifetime of mathematical thinking. Interactive sessions balance fundamental skills with genuine mathematical reasoning through hands-on games and collaborative projects.

TINY TUNES CLUB Join us for Tiny Tunes Club, a fun-filled musical adventure designed especially for our youngest learners! Through singing, movement, games, storytelling and hands-on exploration of instruments, children will discover the joy of music in a playful and nurturing environment. Each session helps develop confidence, listening skills, coordination, creativity and a love of music while encouraging children to make new friends and express themselves.
