Faithful to Catholic tradition and to our Dominican heritage of scholarship and service, Bishop Lynch High School promotes the development of the total person by bringing together a diverse community in a rigorous college preparatory environment where students are taught to strive for excellence, seek truth, and work for justice in the world.
Four Pillars of Dominican Life
Our Catholic Tradition and Dominican heritage are the heartbeat of life as a Friar. BL’s campus chaplain celebrates all-school and weekday Masses, administers the sacrament of Reconciliation, and provides counsel to students. Add all that to theology courses, a robust Christian service program with opportunities for mission trips and monthly service work, and the beautiful St. Catherine of Siena Chapel located in the heart of campus, Bishop Lynch is a faith-filled school community where the spiritual life is celebrated, nurtured, and studied.
BELIEVING. BELONGING.
Friars completed 21,568 hours of service last year.
Everyone can find their place to belong at Bishop Lynch. Our pillar of community is fostered through more than 60 clubs and leadership organizations that create shared experiences as students cultivate their unique interests.
Through the BL Belonging and Veritas Boards, students are trained to facilitate meaningful dialogue amongst their peers, to train others in best practices for challenging conversations, and to serve as student advisors to BL administration. The Belonging Board also hosts our monthly Dine & Dialogue series, bringing together the BL community to share a meal and engage in conversations on a range of timely topics.

Dual Enrollment
With one of largest dual enrollment programs of any private or public school in north Texas, Bishop Lynch offers students the opportunity to earn college credit while completing high school graduation requirements. The Class of 2025 earned over 4,774 college credit hours—that's over $4.9 million in college tuition savings.
Faculty
Bishop Lynch faculty are chosen for both their expertise and their embodiment of BL’s core values—faithful, caring, and dedicated. Over 70% hold advanced degrees, with many sharing their scholarship nationally as authors, presenters, and College Board AP Exam readers. With a 13-to-1 student-to-faculty ratio, our faculty provides personalized attention, shaping each student’s academic and personal formation.
Eight Houses. One Home.
There’s a home for everyone within the Bishop Lynch House System.
Now in its sixth year, the House System fosters connectedness and community across the entire student body and provides students with formative leadership opportunities.
The Dominican Cup is awarded annually to the House who earned the most points through member participation in House competitions and school events.
Students are sorted into one of eight Houses, named for Dominican saints and blesseds. Within each House, students from across grade levels gather with their mentor group weekly to deepen friendships, share intentional conversation, and, of course, compete for House points!
“Bishop Lynch is a community like no other school. Whether through the House System or my classes, I have seen everyone around me find a place at BL.”
-Kate Lawrence, Senior, Frassati House
Arts & Athletics
At Bishop Lynch, arts and athletics are more than activities—they promote the development of the total person. Friars can embrace their unique talents and maximize their potential under the guidance of dedicated coaches, teachers, and directors.
Visual &
Performing Arts
Friars shine on stage, under the lights, and on gallery walls at Bishop Lynch. More than 30 Fine Arts courses foster artistic growth and nurture imagination and creativity. Visual arts classes invite students to explore art history and creative techniques through painting, drawing, photography, and sculpture.
