Following a summer packed with showstopper musicals and vibrant festivals, we’re delighted to share our autumn season brochure featuring a host of spectacular productions filled with laughter, surprises, bold storytelling and unforgettable moments. Upcoming autumn highlights include the spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s multi awardwinning musical Cats, stunning dance from Birmingham Royal Ballet and Matthew Bourne, and the musical revolution Sylvia, starring Beverley Knight. Preparation is hotting up for our next My First Musical, One Tiny Penguin, a heart-warming musical adventure filled with laughter, that follows Lumi the penguin’s travels across the world. I can hardly believe that panto season is almost upon us and we really do have the cast of dreams lined up for you as we welcome Rylan Clark for his Hippodrome panto debut. Alongside him will be audience
favourite Matt Slack, the incredible Zoe Birkett, and our brilliant dame Andrew Ryan, celebrating his 10th Birmingham panto. Looking ahead to 2027, don’t miss Birmingham Royal Ballet’s The Maiden of Venice – Director, Carlos Acosta’s world premiere adaptation of the iconic La Bayadère. Join us in April for the first ever UK tour of Hadestown, taking you on an unforgettable journey to the underworld and back. The record-breaking West End production of Jesus Christ Superstar, starring Sam Ryder in the iconic role of Jesus, will be in Birmingham for three weeks next May. Make sure you get your skates on and race to see Starlight Express next summer, visiting us for five weeks following a record-breaking revival in London. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s electrifying musical has been seen around the world by over 30 million people, and it’s one I’m really excited to bring to Birmingham. We can’t wait to welcome you to the Hippodrome over the coming months!
