Industry in the Alps the Swiss Biotech Day offers a unique chance to meet top-ranking representatives from the central european life sciences sector. As in previous years, the Swiss Biotech Association (SBA) will use this annual opportunity to present its latest magnum opus on biotechnology in Switzerland – the Swiss Biotech Report. One Nation, One Cluster – nowhere does the truth of this Swiss claim grow more apparent than at the Swiss Biotech™ Day in Zurich. The country’s leading biotech conference brings together more than 300 senior executives from Swiss biotech companies and senior scientists from leading academic institutions. Organised jointly by German BIOCOM AG
and the Swiss Biotech Association (SBA), the event’s 2014 programme highlights will include the presentation of the Swiss biotech report and keynote lectures by renowned industry leaders and scientists. The Swiss Biotech Day will also host the SBA’s annual general assembly (by invitation only). This will be the first time that the Swiss biotech scene will be

once again feature keynotes that shed light on the latest science and business trends in biotechnology, while SBA members also have the chance to meet up for the association’s Annual General Assembly. Attendees will have a unique possibility to enjoy new information from the programme, to meet with old friends, and to network with new colleagues. Christian Gattiker, Chief Strategist at Bank Julius Bär & Co. AG, will be on hand to present a global investor’s point of view on the worldwide biotech industry. Wiltrud Treffenfeldt, CTO Europe, Middle East & Africa at DOW Europe GmbH, will also be sharing her thoughts on how industrial biotechnology is already serving as a driver of economic growth today. The Swiss Biotech™ Day’s targeted audience includes biotech entrepreneurs, investors, analysts and industry stakeholders who are involved in current business and science trends in the European biotechnology community.
