Barbara Wasniewski was happy to win the Bingo Bugle Monthly Sweepstakes. That’s not unusual, most people are, $100 will buy you a few Bingo cards at least. The noteworthy aspect of this story is the fact that Barbara is 91 years young. She carries herself, looks and acts like a much, much younger person. How can this be? Well, genetics may play a part, but Barbara deserves most of the credit. Barbara remains very active as a Moose Lodge member of over 30 years. Her career as a beauty operator emphasized the importance of looking your best all the time. Barbara succeeds and excells at that. Our Sweepstakes Winner was married to her beloved Bob for 68 years. They had 4 boys, Jim, Bill, Tom and Mike. Barb’s first experience playing Bingo was in Florida where she and her late husband would “Snowbird”. She enjoyed Bingo so much that she decided to keep playing when she returned to Wisconsin. preferring to play during the day, Bingo Halls like the Moose Lodge #49 on S. 13th and Grange and American Legion #416 in Greendale are right up her alley. We asked Barbara if she had a message that she’d like the Bingo Bugle readers to know. She said, “I want to thank all the volunteers at the Moose Club for giving up their Sundays so we can play Bingo”.

Barbara likes playing Bingo pretty much. We’ve been told that after the restrictions of the recent pandemic were lifted, she was one of the first players to get back in the swing of things and start playing Bingo again. Like a lot of people, Barbara enjoys the social aspect of the game. She loves playing Bingo with her friend Pat Radtke and her new friend Nancy. As always we like to get the low down from the local Bingo expert, this time we talked to Bob Owen. Bob is the Bingo Chairman at the Moose Lodge. Bob reminded us that, “Moose Lodge has always been known as the friendliest Bingo game in town and
we have a great facility and a very safe parking lot. Our Bingo Hall is Handicap Accessible. We play every Sunday with sales starting at 11:30 AM and the first session begins at 12:30 PM with the second session to follow. We have all paper sheets and Progressive Bingo.” Bob is sure proud of their Bingo operation, as well he should. Our winner Barbara told us that she’ll spend her winnings on future Bingo. That’s a good idea when you have a great place to play like Moose Lodge #49. See their ad on Page 2 of this Bingo Bugle newspaper and join Barbara for some great Bingo Fun! We’ll see you there.
