Peter Wexler is the new chief legal officer at Newmont He is an experienced legal and risk management leader with more than three decades of international knowledge in managing legal, risk, compliance, M&A, antitrust, litigation and corporate governance He will join Newmont before the end of March.
Jack Lundin was named president of Lundin Mining, he earlier served as president and CEO of Bluestone Resources. Before that, Lundin was involved in the construction of the Fruta del Norte gold mine where he served as project superintendent. He is also chair of Lundin Gold.
Dave Mathewson has joined the board of Phenom Resources. He is a Carlin Gold Trend specialist and mine finder. During the 1990s he led the team which discovered the Tess, Northwest Rain, Saddle, and South Emigrant gold deposits, which total over 4 million oz. In 2009, he founded Gold Standard Ventures.
