DISCOVERING THE 21ST CENTURY Message from the Co-Chairs of the 2022 Convention Planning Committee of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC): Patrick Chance, President, Patrick Chance & Associates and Robert Boyd, President, CEO and Director of Endurance Gold Corporation The world’s mineral exploration and mining industry will meet at the annual Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada’s (PDAC) Convention in person in Toronto, Canada June 13-15, 2022. This will be followed by an online event on June 28-29. In 2022, PDAC marks its 90th anniversary. PDAC 2022 will again bring another unparalleled lineup of programs, speakers, investment and networking opportunities to delegates at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and to Toronto, the world mining investment capital. Our 2022 in person event will feature over 800 exhibitors in the Core Shack, Investors Exchange, Prospectors Tent and Trade Show. The online event will also feature a virtual Trade Show and Investors Exchange exhibitors. PDAC 2022 will offer various engaging sessions through its highly acclaimed programs — such as the Capital Markets Program, Corporate Presentation Forum for Investors, Exploration Insights, Executive Spotlight, Industry Showcase, Indigenous Program, International Stage, Letter Writer Presentations for Investors, Master Class Series, Mining for Diversity, PDAC One on One Meeting Program, Short Courses, Student & Early Career Program, Sustainability Program and Technical Program. In person Keynote presentations offer forwardlooking reviews of issues critical to the global minerals exploration and development industry from industry leaders. Tom Palmer, CEO of Newmont —
the world’s leading gold producer, will outline how his company is adapting to change across all facets of our industry. Vanessa Davidson of CRU, London, will provide the long view of copper entitled “Outlook: World needs vs industry means.” Jeff Hanman, Teck Resources, Vancouver, will speak of his company’s approach to “Innovation and the future of mining”. Finally, John Kilroe will recount Rio Tinto’s Winu copper-gold discovery, this year’s Thayer Lindsely Award winner. Recording of these four keynote presentations will be available to online
attendees at a later date. The Short Course program provides an opportunity to update skills and gain new insight into the rapidly evolving minerals exploration and development sector. Courses are led by industry experts. In person we will host courses on mineral resource estimation, digital exploration tools, geochemical modelling, and geophysics for geologists. Online we will offer courses on creating value and managing risks, QA/QC methods in mineral exploration, successful community engagement, and understanding public reports. The PDAC Convention is a unique platform that provides exceptional learning and networking opportunities.
