Help us to stop the spread of infection
We are launching a new campaign this summer across our hospitals to remind everyone – our patients, visitors and staff – of the importance of guarding against the spread of infection. Infection control is everyone’s responsibility and we all need to work together to protect the patients in our care. Our new campaign highlights the important measures we all need to take to ensure our patients, visitors and staff are safe. When you enter hospital, please make sure you use the hand sanitisers which you will find at the entrance to every ward and department. There are a series of simple measures you can take to help protect yourself and your loved ones. As you will see on page 7, these include paying particular attention to good hand hygiene and not coming to hospital to visit a relative or friend if you are feeling unwell. We all need to do what we can to protect the patients in our care from infection. Please turn to page 7 for more advice.
