Thank you to everyone who participated in the Second General Election and helped us reach a 53% quorum. Your participation reflects the strong commitment our property owners have to the future of Big Canoe.

I’d also like to thank all the property owners who stepped forward to run for the Board. Your willingness to serve our community is truly appreciated. Please join me in welcoming our newly elected Board members, Lynette Howard and Roger Hackler. I look forward to working with them on behalf of Big Canoe.
Lastly, I’d like to recognize the important work of the Big Canoe Elections Committee in supporting the election process. The Committee is currently seeking one to three additional property owners to serve. If you’re interested, please click the button at the bottom of this page to submit your application.
Best regards,
Sandy Sandy Pullara, POA Board President

Big Canoe’s scenic mountain roads are part of what makes our community special but their narrow, winding nature also means keeping roadways clear is essential for safety. Big Canoe Public Safety would like to remind the community about the POA's street parking rules and regulations The complete Big Canoe POA Rules and Regulations document is located in the Governing Documents section on our website.

Street parking regulations are outlined in Rule A.7 – Restrictions on Parking and Advertising Vehicles.
In Section 2.1, overnight parking is not permitted on roads, rights-of-way, greenbelts, maintenance areas, or other Common Properties in Big Canoe. Instead, vehicles should be parked inside a garage or substantially on the owner ’ s driveway, as noted in Rule A.7, Section 2.6.
Parking at any time day or night, requires that vehicles be parked well off the roadway and must not impede emergency vehicle access. Vehicles should never block a roadway, driveway, or access point for emergency responders as outlined in Rule A.7, Section 2.5
For situations where temporary parking on common property is necessary, Rule A.7, Section 2.2 allows parking for less than 72 hours, provided arrangements are made through the POA. The approved location for this is the third lowest level of the Playfield parking lot. As noted in Rule A.7, Section 3, vehicles parked in violation of these rules may be subject to fines and towing without further notice
These guidelines are designed to ensure our roads remain safe for residents, guests, and the emergency personnel who serve our community. If you have not yet reviewed the Big Canoe POA Rules and Regulations, we encourage you to take a look The document provides helpful information about many aspects of community living.
If you have questions about parking rules, please send an Ask the POA

The Wildflower Bunch program for April is a Container Gardening Workshop that will be held on April 1 in the Wildcat Pavilion at 10 am. The workshop will be sponsored by Whispering Springs and led by Lindsey Kenner, a landscape designer with 18 years of design experience and a resident of Big Canoe. Pre-registration is required because there will be a fee to build your own container garden, or you can just observe at no charge The plan is to offer a variety of annuals, perennials, and herbs so participants can create a container they will love and that will grow in their location. You can purchase a container at the workshop or bring one from home. Lindsey will discuss the various plants to choose from with additional tips on creating a successful container garden.
