What does Jesus promise his people?
What does Jesus say to us?
Jesus said:
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind. This is the first and most important commandment. The second most important commandment is like this one. And it is, ‘Love others as much as you love yourself.’ ”
“If you are tired from carrying heavy burdens, come to me and I will give you rest. Take the yoke I give you. Put it on your shoulders and learn from me. I am gentle and humble, and you will find rest. This yoke is easy to bear, and this burden is light.” Matthew 11.28-30 “I will be with you always, even until the end of the world.” Matthew 28.20 “If you are thirsty, come to me and drink! Have faith in me, and you will have life-giving water John 7.37b-38 flowing from deep inside you.” “There are many rooms in my Father’s house. I wouldn’t tell you this, unless it was true. I am going there to prepare a place for each of you. After I have done this, I will come back John 14.2-3 and take you with me.” “While you are in the world, you will have to suffer. But cheer up! I have defeated the John 16.33b world.” Paul wrote:
Three times I begged the Lord to make my suffering go away. But he replied, “My kindness is all you need. My power is strongest when you are weak. 2 Corinthians 12.8-9

Have pity on others, just as your Father has pity on you.”
