This series of "imaginary asteroids" offers a mind-cleansing exercise in intricate abstract formations presented as otherworldly spheres in space. They were all created with a fisheye lens mounted on a camera suspended over a geological formation with a monopod, in which the camera was about four feet from where I stood or crouched. They are offered in the spirit of mind-extension via otherness.This particular one was photographed at the astonishing formations of Ybykty Canyon in the Mangystau region of Kazakhstan.
