Meet the first people of Nice. The Terra Amata Prehistory Museum is located on the site of the excavation of the site of the same name which delivered up the oldest homes in the history of Humanity, dating from 400,000 years before our era.
The world of Henri Matisse in the exceptional setting of the Villa des Arènes de Cimiez. Inaugurated in 1963 in the Villa des Arènes, the Matisse Museum houses donations to the City of Nice from Henri Matisse (1869-1954) and his heirs, i.e. nearly 600 works and 130 objects that belonged to the artist.
