Beverly Hills Finally Files Federal Lawsuit Over Subway Giving into election year pressure from the Beverly Hills Courier and school families, the City of Beverly Hills late last Friday finally filed suit against the Federal Transportation Administration, challenging the Westside Subway Extension funding. The lawsuit claims the FTA violated the National Environ-
mental Policy Act (NEPA) and related federal laws. The move comes after months of stalling by the city council majority led by incumbent Mayor Willie Brien. The City set aside up to $1.25 million to fight the feder(see ‘NEPA,’ page 9)

India attended the film’s premiere at the Mann Chinese 6 Theatres in Hollywood during the 8th Annual Los Angeles, Italia Film, Fashion and Art Fest this week. India’s also written Dead Man Blues, a winning romantic comedy set in India. She’s now completed her first novel, The Last August, A Romantic Reverie, about a summer love affair in Capri.
