Tenderloin Clubhouse We have served Tenderloin youth and their families since 1996. Our vision is to cultivate a thriving community with the support of caring adult allies through learning and teaching. Our Clubhouse provides resources and opportunities to 120 youth each day that strengthen creativity, cultural competence, and health. We operate out of three different locations, all within two blocks of each other. In order to make this happen, we work with community partners, local businesses, and many neighborhood families. Our Village includes: 115 Jones (Main Clubhouse) 209 Jones (High School Services Center) 201 Turk

Tenderloin CLUBHOUSE

What We Do Every day at the Club, we provide highquality programs and support services that allow youth to leave us at age 18 “ready for life”. As soon as children and teens walk through our doors, they enter an environment of stability, consistency, and physical and emotional safety. Our programs are designed to be fun and engaging, while building skills and confidence for a successful future.

What Our Club Does Best

Programs

Our Clubhouse serves as a community hub in the neighborhood!

Academics Members come to us with a range of academic skills, interests, and learning styles, so we offer various programs and strategies to support them. Programs include homework help, tutoring, STEM enrichment, literacy, academic mentoring, college prep, and support during key grade transitions.

We offer a wide range of leadership opportunities for all ages, with focuses in education, health, and community building. We provide youth with a strong continuum of educational programming and facilitate smooth transitions from elementary school to middle school and middle school to high school.

Teens Our goal is to help youth succeed and be "ready for life" by the time they leave us at age 18. Programs offerings include academic support, college prep, career exploration, volunteer and leadership opportunities, financial literacy, health & life skills, and job readiness.

Health & Life Skills Our goal is to be the healthiest place for kids by instilling lifelong healthy habits. We do this through physical activity, nutrition programs, healthy decision making, healthy relationships programs, vision services, and Behavioral Health Services.

Citywide Creative Arts We provide a path for youth to access highquality art instruction in an environment where can express themselves. We offer fine arts, they mixed media, crafts, career exposures in the arts, and much more.

Sports, Fitness, & Recreation

Summer Camp

In an effort to be the healthiest place for San Francisco youth, we encourage Club members to be physically active for at least 30 minutes every day. Youth enjoy participating in structured and energetic activities in our outdoor courtyard and playground space. Through cooperative play and skill-building activities, our recreation programs are designed to connect physical health and fitness to social and emotional health.

All Club members have the opportunity to attend Camp Mendocino, our 2,000-acre residential summer camp located 3.5 hours north of San Francisco in a beautiful redwood forest. Camp Mendocino provides a creative, fun, and supportive camping experience for youth ages eight to 14, as well as a Leaders-In-Training program for youth ages 15-17.
