INTRODUCING A NEW BOYS & GIRLS CLUB COMPREHENSIVE YOUTH SERVICES FOR THE RESIDENTS OF THE NEW SUNNYDALE NEIGHBORHOOD A public-private partnership was established to revitalize San Francisco’s largest public housing community by developing new homes, streets, and community spaces. A central component of this transformation is the creation of a new neighborhood Hub featuring educational and recreational spaces, run by nonprofits, that provide youth and families with opportunities to play, to learn, and to grow. Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF) is proud to have been a critical partner in developing these new spaces in collaboration with Mercy Housing, Related California, Wu Yee Early Learning Center (Head Start), and the City of San Francisco. The result is a Hub that seamlessly integrates youth and family services with newly constructed affordable housing, which together builds an ecosystem of supportive services that will help the community and its residents thrive.
