SOCK WEEK 2026: THANK YOU, BEVERLEY!
The 2026 SOCK Week initiative has been a fantastic success, bringing multiple local groups together to raise vital awareness for road safety in the Wheatbelt. A massive thank you goes out to our local police, the Beverley Markets, our wonderful local students, and both the junior and senior Beverley hockey players for your fantastic participation and enthusiasm. We are already looking forward to building on this success for our 2027 campaign!
MOSAIC WORKSHOP
The Beverley CRC is hosting a Mosaic Workshop on Saturday 18 July, 10am - 2pm. This hands-on session offers a base price of $105, with additional options to choose from depending on what you’d love to create:

THE FRIENDS OF KALKARNI (FOK)
The next general meeting of The Friends is Thursday 09 July at BaptistCare Kalkarni, in the LifeStyle Room, 27 Whittington Street, Brookton, at 2pm. BEVERLEY AG MUSEUM
The Ag Museum at Avondale Farm is open to the public every 2nd & 4th Saturdays of each month, from 8.30am to 2.30pm, entry is free. If you require an alternative viewing day for a better experience, please ring John on 9646 0768.

The Op Shop opens this Friday 10 July from 11.00am, closing at 2.30pm.
COUNTY PEAK & YENYENING LAKES UPDATE
Planning some sightseeing east of Beverley? Please note that County Peak is currently closed to the public. Also, if you are heading out to Yenyening Lakes, be aware that there is currently a high number of bull ants in the area. We will keep you posted as soon as we have any updates!
WOOD BURNING WORKSHOP (EOI)
We are looking for expressions of interest to hold a beginners workshop on Saturday 08 August 2026. Whether you want to create stunning portraits, rustic pet memories, or unique landscapes, this hands-on session will teach you all the basics of burning designs onto wood. The cost for the workshop is $110. We require a minimum number to run this session, so your early registration is incredibly important! Register your interest today by calling the CRC team on 9646 1600.

TEST NATIONAL EMERGENCY ALERT
The Australian Government is launching AusAlert – a new national warning system that sends emergency messages to compatible mobile devices.
It’s a fast and reliable way to help keep Australians informed so they can act quickly during local and national disasters. These could be natural hazards like bushfires, floods and cyclones, as well as security threats or public health emergencies.
On 27 July AusAlert will be tested nationally. WA can expect to receive a test alert by compatible mobile devices at 12.00pm. The test will make a loud siren-like sound and vibrate for about 10 seconds.
Share the message through your teams and community to inform people what to expect and reassure them that is a test, with no action required. Resources are available at: ausalert.gov.au

If you hold a current WA Drivers Licence or Learners Permit, you can now claim the WA State Government Fuel Support Payment. You can claim either using the Service WA app or by completing a paper form and posting it along with a photocopy of both the front and back of your driver’s licence/learners permit and a photocopy of an Australian bank statement in your name. Both documents need to show your current residential address. Paper forms are available at the Beverley CRC. If you want to claim using the Services WA App and you need help to do this, you can book an appointment with us. Applications close 31 December 2026. ANGLICAN PARISH OF BEVERLEY-BROOKTON
This Sunday 12 July there is a change in the service times. Service will be at 9.00am, not at the regular 10.30am service at St Mary’s Church, Beverley. The Rev’d Canon Dr Philip Raymont is away on leave visiting family in Queensland.
