Where does your passion for craft come from?
I love baking and love making treats that make other people happy. Now I have children, there’s nothing better than seeing their eyes light up at the sight of something new and tasty.
What’s the trickiest thing to master?
Consistency and repeatability. Ingredients and the environment change; there are lots of uncontrollable things to try and control.
What three Bettys items are your picnic hamper essentials?
A Yorkshire Millers loaf, a pack of our new cheese straws and a box of seasonal Fondant Fancies.
What new delights are you working on?
For later this year and into 2027 there is a lot happening: new breads, cakes, pastries and some new faces in the Rascal family.
Sweet or savoury?
Ooh, that’s tricky. I do have a massive sweet tooth, but give me a loaf of good bread and some salted butter and I’ll be more than happy.
