The Carlisle Area Chamber has been hosting Business Women’s Forum for over 24 years. What started as a Carlisle-only day of development for area businesswomen with speakers, seminars, vendors and networking opportunities, has grown into the region’s largest one-day professional development program for women. Why is this important? 1. The Carlisle Area Chamber handles the administrative, financial, and logistical functions of the event, while our partners – the West Shore Chamber handles seminar programming, and the Harrisburg Regional Chamber and CREDC supports our marketing efforts under the leadership of a Carlisle Chamber team member. 2. The event has moved from the former Embers/Hotel Carlisle to the Radisson to the PA Farm Show to the Radisson and finally, Messiah College for the past three years. We love the Messiah campus and it is centrally located for our attendees. 3. Our sponsors – for example Geisinger Holy Spirit – our Presenting Sponsor. As an organization, their sponsorship offsets the overall cost of administering the event and they have been our partner for six years now. Without them, our event would not be what it is today and we are eternally grateful. a. UPMC Pinnacle – the Networking Luncheon was fun and lively - our table walked away knowing a little bit more about the people that they were seated with and themselves! c. The CenturyLink Business Woman of the Year Award – this award gives us the opportunity to recognize a business leader that strives every day to lead those that they interact with, develop and learn in all types of ways, and share their knowledge with all of us d. PennState Health – our Wellness Walk Sponsor – the walk between the seminar and tradeshow area gives us all a chance to catch our breath and enjoy the experience of the day – the Wellness Walk makes it more enjoyable! e. Door Prize Sponsor – Mountz Jewelers – thank you! We had two amazing prizes this year – and the recipients – I don’t think that I have seen two more excited winners! Also, Members 1st Federal Credit Union was our Breakout Session sponsor; our Program Sponsor was Daley Zucker Meilton Miner; our Gold sponsors were: PPL, Homeland Hospice, McKonly & Asbury, Brown Schultz, Sheridan, & Fritz, and Penn National Insurance. Carlisle Sports Emporium Super Mixer The Carlisle Sports Emporium hosted a Super Mixer with multiple area Chambers of Commerce. The event was hosted in their new event venue, The Barn at Creek’s Bend. Nearly 200 attendees enjoyed the evening.

Una Martone of Leadership Harrisburg Area was named as the 2018 CenturyLink Business Woman of the Year. 3. Green T Design, Marketing Sponsor, hosted a fun and interactive booth including prizes and a game! 4. Attendees had the opportunity to attend three of nine breakout sessions, sponsored by Members 1st Federal Credit Union. management. 6. Over 50 booths lined the hallways of Messiah College’s High Center including vendors such as Bits of Life Photography. 7. Attendees used the day to network with women from all over central Pennsylvania, to hone their professional development skills, and to learn about a variety of local businesses. 8. Attendees enjoyed the UMPC Pinnacle Networking Luncheon which included a fun networking activity and a delicious meal. 9. Mountz Jewelers presented two prizes to guests at the beginning and end of the day including a $500 Mountz Jewlers gift card and an Artistry 14K White Gold Diamond Heart Pendant. 10. Iceland’s Magical Northern Lights
We had such an enjoyable trip to Iceland in 2017 that we have decided to return to see the Northern Lights. Collette vacations will take us to Reykjavik, Golden Circle, Thingvellir National Park, Geysir, Gullfoss, Vik, Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss, Jökulsárlón, Skaftafell National Park, Vatnajökull Glacier, and the Blue Lagoon. While there are similar stops as the trip in 2017 there are new locations and the focus is on seeing the Northern Lights. Prices include transportation from Carlisle to the airport, roundtrip air, lodging, sightseeing and many meals. A double room is $3,999 per person. Single and triple rates are available.
