NEWSLETTER State of the Chapter ETA TAU

Dear Brothers and Friends of Beta,

C-Term has been the start of a new exec administration in our chapter. After a stunningly great slate of candidates in our B-Term elections, the exec board had a fantastic retreat planning for the spring semester and having a chaotic tournament of keepy-uppy. One of the first things our chapter had to grapple with was our response to a difficult situation created in late BTerm. A general IFC new member program included unsavory anonymous responses from some of the participants, prompting a social freeze. We, in accordance with IFC, and adhering to our own values, concluded that while we were nearly certain none of our members would have made such remarks, there is still work to be done and areas for growth. We have decided to update some of our rush policies to ensure that we continue to have a clear picture of the men we bring into our organization. We also aim to ensure our members are educated in ways that we can be more inclusive and supportive of the people that inhabit the world we live in through a variety of methods. Reach out to myself or Gabriel Buziba if you would like more details for those plans. Through C-Term we ran a rush period, finding two fantastic new members; Ricardo Croes-Ball and Benjamin Skarnes. This brings us to 6 new members for the year, and we are overwhelmingly enthralled by the quality of men who have joined our merry band.
