Animals Tips when traveling with pets

Traveling with pets is increasingly popular, allowing owners to share adventures while avoiding boarding costs or alternative care. Since 2024, more people have chosen to bring their pets along on trips, but doing so requires thoughtful planning to keep animals safe, comfortable, and stress-free— whether traveling by car, plane, or on a short weekend getaway.

and up to date on vaccinations. Bring medical records and ask about motion sickness or anxiety remedies if needed.

Bring familiar items. Pack your pet’s usual food, bowls, leash, toys, or bedding to help reduce stress in new surroundings.

Yourdonationistaxdeductibleand all donationsgodirectlyforthecareoftheanimals.

Plan ahead. Check pet policies, fees, and restrictions for hotels, airlines, and rentals. Confirm size, breed, and number limits, and research vaccination or quarantine requirements, especially for international travel.

Visit the vet. Schedule a checkup to ensure your pet is healthy

Stick to routine. Keep regular feeding, walking, and play schedules, and use familiar water and food to avoid stomach upset. Pack patience. Pets may act differently in new places, and not everyone is pet-friendly. Staying calm helps your pet adjust.

Final thought. With planning and pet-friendly choices, traveling with pets can be enjoyable for everyone.
