Avoiding certain ingredients, like saturated fats and added sugars, and choosing foods known for their nutritional beneﬁts is one way individuals can utilize diet to live healthier. Honey: Honey is one of the most appreciated and valued natural products, according to the study "Honey and Health: A Review of Recent Clinical Research," published in 2017. Since ancient times, honey has been used therapeutically

due to its antioxidant, antimicrobial, antiinﬂammatory, and antiproliferative effects.

Kefir is loaded with vitamins, minerals and nutrients, says the Cleveland Clinic. It is a fermented milk that boasts higher concentrations of probiotics than some other fermented foods, like yogurt. This sweet, gentle giant is Odin! Odin is a 10-yearold shepherd/Labrador mix who is looking for a home to live out his golden years. If you were to visit Berkshire Humane Society, it’s not uncommon to see him waiting at the front desk to greet you with a smile and tail wags. He currently weighs in at 125 pounds, but desperately needs to lose weight. Odin has a condition called hypothyroidism which has contributed to his weight gain. He is on a special medication which along with exercise should help with his weight loss journey. Odin should do short, frequent walks throughout the day and would potentially also beneﬁt from swim therapy. Odin would be suitable to live with a cat, respectful children, and a doggie friend who just wants a buddy to hang out with. He also enjoys soft toys to carry around; he just can’t run and play like most dogs. Odin is fully housetrained and walks beautifully on a leash.
