New this year to Carnival is our GameShow Night at the historic Latchis Theater sponsored by BrattFM!! Come for a fun night of family feud style gaming fun and cheer on your favorite team!

Our goal is to have 10 days of fun for everyone as well as bring our community together. Times are tough these days, so we have made it our priority to create a schedule of events that are affordable for each and every one of us.

I would like to thank everyone who dedicates their personal time to bring these fun and fulfilling events together.

We can’t wait to see all of you this year and we are looking forward to enjoying all these wonderful events together.

Nancy Doyle 64th President BWC

Program Dedication

14 years ago, I made the decision to join the Brattleboro Winter Carnival, and what a great decision it was. Every year has been a new exciting adventure with an amazing group of people. I am so proud of all the hard work and dedication that is put into this week-long event each and every year. I am honored and humbled to be the 64th President of this incredible group of people.

The people I would like to dedicate the program to this year are some of the hardest working people I know. When this person was first asked many years ago by Steve Dix if he would want to help at the pancake breakfast, he didn’t hesitate to say yes. Little did he know that Steve wanted to retire from pancake flipping and he would soon take on the role as “lead flipper.” That

morning and each year since he has shown up with his daughter, bright and early to flip pancakes. Soon after, his wife asked me what she could do to help, and little did she know what a loaded

question that would be! She has helped with everything from cutting fruit and bagels at the pancake breakfast, to making cakes for the Queens pageant and Grand Day, helping the Queen contestants pick out dresses, and so much more.

So, this year when they asked once again what they could do to help, it made me realize just how much I cherish these people, and how getting through some of these events just wouldn’t be possible without them.

I could think of no one else that I would want to dedicate this year’s program to.

It is with great honor that I dedicate the 2020 Brattleboro Winter Carnival Program to people who I consider as my family and best friends, John and Lauralee Martin. Thank you for all your help, love and friendship over the years.
