IS HIRING FOR THE THIRD TIME

BERGEN CHALLENGE

APPLICATION DEADLINE: April 14, 11:59 PM!

What are Student Games Bergen and Bergen Challenge?

Bergen Challenge is the organizer of the largest student sports festival in the Nordics, Student Games Bergen Every other year, Bergen is filled with over 2,500 students from across the Nordic region, competing in 26 different sports and a wide range of cultural events. With the help of up to 700 volunteers, we create a long weekend filled with activity, community, and true student spirit

The Student Games are more than just sports, they are a festival where the joy of sport, culture, and inclusion take center stage. Together, we aim to build a meeting place that brings students together across all of Bergen and gives volunteers memories for life.

In autumn 2026, Bergen Challenge will host the next edition of Student Games Bergen. We are now starting our third recruitment round and are looking for engaged students who want to leave their mark on the event. As part of Bergen Challenge, you will have the opportunity to take part in everything from recruitment parties and anniversaries to office socials and MUCH more!

Greeting from BC-Leader Astrid

DEAR FELLOW STUDENT!

Already in October, 2,500 students will gather in Bergen to compete, cheer, celebrate, and experience Student Games Bergen together The largest student sports festival in the Nordic region will then be underway, and behind the scenes nearly 700 volunteer students in Bergen Challenge will be working to make everything run smoothly That is why we are now hiring for the third time.

Student Games Bergen fills the city with sports, shows, and social experiences over several days Students from across the Nordic region come to Bergen to compete in a wide range of sports, meet new people, and be part of something that is much bigger than just a tournament

To make an event of this size possible, we need many different types of people That is why there are many different roles in Bergen Challenge

Maybe you enjoy logistics and planning. Maybe you are passionate about sports and competition, or about shows and culture Maybe you prefer working with budgets and finances, or creating and following up partnerships. Maybe you enjoy social media, promotion, and recruitment Or maybe you are the one who likes creating a good atmosphere and organizing social activities within the organization. No matter what you enjoy working with, there is a place for you in Bergen Challenge

At the same time, Bergen Challenge quickly becomes more than just planning an event It is a community where students work closely together over time, where there are always people at the office, and where you meet new people across faculties and study programs Many former members say that the sense of community, the collaboration, and the friendships they build are what they remember the most afterwards

Through the first recruitment rounds, many people have already joined the organization, and it is exciting to see how the team is starting to take shape. At the same time, there are still many important roles to fill, and we hope more of you would like to join

Maybe you are exactly the person we are missing on the team.

I look forward to getting to know more of you, and to creating Student Games Bergen together.

Best regards,

BALUBA VALOUNTEERS (X6)

Were you the kid in elementary school who maybe played a little too much with matches? The one who always took things just one step too far? Do you have slightly too little shame at parties, way too much confidence on the water slide, and a disturbingly low threshold for throwing on a morph suit without asking a single follow-up question?

At the same time, do you feel a small but persistent need for attention that your parents maybe never fully managed to satisfy? Perfect. Even better if you also love stirring things up, pulling pranks, and creating a great atmosphere both for yourself and everyone around you Then you might just have what it takes to become a staff member in Baluba

Baluba is for people who believe nonsense and chaos are a lifestyle, not a hobby For people who understand that good vibes do not just happen on their own, but have to be taken seriously by people who do not take themselves too seriously.
