Dear Guests of the Gala, Here we are this evening back in Classic Hollywood, where we all belong! The 21st Century was terribly overrated. I have been looking for Clark, but those close to him have told me that he has Gone with the Wind. Kate and Humphrey seem to be cruising these days on the African Queen. You know Humphrey…when he is not with Kate, he is in Casablanca with Ingrid. I was checking to find out Whatever Happened to Baby Jane, but Bette Davis was All about Eve when I asked her.
Robert S. Goldberg Head of School
In checking on Marilyn’s whereabouts, her pals told me that she couldn’t make it tonight because Some Like It Hot, and it is air-conditioned here at Mar-a-Lago. However, the Misfits would not have enjoyed themselves this evening with all of us beautiful people. I was really looking forward to catching up with Cary and Audrey, but I hear that for them great parties like this one are just a Charade. Of course, just when I was feeling disappointed over the absence of so many of my oldtime buddies, I bump right into Jimmy! With a great big smile and a broad embrace, he shouted, “It’s a Wonderful Life!” And, that it is! With a huge Hollywood applause we thank our co-chairs Krista & Steve Nicklaus and Shannon & Scott Smith. Columbia Pictures could not have put together a better backdrop for tonight’s big show. Stars of the Big Screen from yesterday, today and tomorrow, Sandy & Joe O’Connor, will rise to the stage to accept their Oscar for the best supporting actors of the season. All of us out here on the Coast love being seen with TBS stars! And, it takes all of us to make this event a winner. A standing ovation to all donors, guests, volunteers and bidders! TBS Pictures could not produce the best in the industry without any of you. Luck Be a Lady Tonight!

Welcome from the Chairs Welcome to “BASH Goes Hollywood’! We are delighted to be celebrating the 30th anniversary of BASH (Building A Scholastic Heritage.) We sincerely appreciate the incredible dedication and generous support of all of our sponsors, parents, volunteers and TBS friends from 30 years ago to the present. We would especially like to thank our Honorary Chairs, Joe and Sandy O’Connor. Tonight and always, our focus is on our outstanding faculty. The success and advancement of our children’s education and character are truly the foundation of the TBS experience. Tonight’s Call from the Heart will be in support of a wide range of professional development programs for our faculty. We hope that all of you will join us in supporting this effort. Cheers to each and every one of you for being here tonight to celebrate this special BASH anniversary. We wish you an exciting and glamorous Hollywood evening at the beautiful Mar-a-Lago Club! Thank you! Steve and Krista Nicklaus

Meet the
O’Connors To the Benjamin School Family We are privileged and thrilled to be the Honorary Chairs of the 2014 BASH Gala, which promises to be the best party in town this season. Only at BASH can you walk down Hollywood’s red carpet without venturing too far from home! Inside the beautiful ballroom of the majestic and historic Mar-a-Lago, The Benjamin School community has come together, as it does each year, to celebrate and support The Benjamin School. Thirteen years ago, we made the decision to move to Florida, but it was only after we found the right school, The Benjamin School, for our four young children to attend. In fact, we would not have moved to Florida had we not discovered The
