BAPTIST STUDENT UNION The Baptist Student Union is Christ-centered, church-related, and student-led. Its purpose is to help each student find his place of service in a church in the college community. Through this the BSU provides services of both a devotional and a social nature for the student body.

VISION The Belmont Vision is the college newspaper which is

It is a source of news and information for the school, and it gives students practical experience in collecting, writing, and putting the campus news into print.

WOMEN'S DORMITORY COUNCILS The purpose of the Women's Dormitory Councils is to encourage a more democratic way of life, to develop Christian ideals and character, and to pro-
mote both the Christian and educational objectives for which this college was established.
WOMEN'S SELF GOVERNING BOARD The women's Self-Governing Board is composed of representatives from all women's resident halls plus a non-resident representative. The Board's purposes are to consider matters of importance and to draft governing regulations regarding women students. MEN'S DORMITORY COUNCIL The Men's Dormitory Council of Belmont College acts as the governing body of the dormitory organization. It seeks to promote a democratic system of
discipline and serves as a coordinating body between dormitory residents and school administration.

The Life Service Band is a group of students working together in the service of their Lord. Upon request the band goes to churches in and around Nashville to hold services.

The Belmont Glee Club is a male organization whose membership is selected by audition and is limited to a balanced voicing. Members are busy all year with group tours, and short trips in nearby churches. Quartets from the Glee Club, and frequently the entire club, provide special music for chapel periods and other school events.

Marlin Alsup and Jim "Simo" Simmons were named to the 1964 V.S.A.C. All-Star team. Ronnie
Bargatze was also named to the 1964 V.S.A.C. Allstar second team. There were five players who finished scoring in the double figures. They were: Marlin Alsup 20.7, Ronnie Bargatze 11.5, C. A. Miesel 10.3, Jim Simmons 13.7, and Jerry Sullivan 13.5.

BASKETBALL Jerry Sullivan was the star rebounder for the Rebels. He cleaned the boards for a total of 322 rebounds. We are looking forward to seeing this year's freshmen improve and to keeping the Rebels the fine team that it was this season. Already, one of them, C. A. Meisel, has averaged over 10 points a game. Next year's team will be without the benefit of Bud Casebier and Jim "Simo" Simmons. These two seniors have played a large part in sparking the Rebels on to victory. Belmont will miss these two fine athletes in the future, and we all join together in wishing them the best of luck.

BASEBALL Last year the Rebel baseball team won the Western Division of the VSAC with a 6-3 record. This year the Rebels have eight of these lettermen returning. The Rebels have won the Western Division of the VSAC three times. For a college as young as. Belmont, these are accomplishments of which to be proud. With the winning combination of an excellent coach, a working team, and student and faculty support, the Rebels are sure to repeat past victories and to go on to further honors.

GOLF The rebel golf team is enthusiastic about producing an outstanding record. Although Frank Cowherd is the only returning member, the team has an abundance of determination and ability to compensate for any deficiencies. These pioneer golfers are helping to establish more firmly our athletic program and to uplift further the Belmont image.

TENNIS Even if a Belmont student cannot hit a tennis ball with two rackets, he can en joy tennis by watching the Rebel team matches. The co-ordination and the agility of the team members are admirable. With their outstanding ability, the team is able to excel in competition with teams from other colleges.
