• Modern residential design must combine sustainable design and the use of hypoallergenic materials to support the needs of families with medical needs.
• Allergies are on the rise
- Increase of antibiotics and acetaminophen
- Obesity and Asthma
- Vitamin D Deficiency
• The James family home is unique by how it combines the power of sustainable and hypoallergenic into one home.
• This home will accommodate multiple allergies and have several alternative power sources.
• A family of 6: mom, dad, 2 girls, 2 boys
• Mom: is a doctor; Seasonal allergies, dust, fur, asthma, untreated wood
• Dad: is an artist: Diabetic; Allergic to dairy, Night blindness
• Daughter 1: Gymnastics, Cheerleading; No accommodations
• Daughter 2: Soccer, Cheerleading; Food allergies, Seasonal allergies, fur, asthma, untreated wood

Filtration Steps
• Step 1: Grey water flows through the 1st progressive filtration.
- Large to medium partials
• Step 2: then the 2nd progressive filtration.
- Medium to small partials
• Step 3: the 3rd progressive filtration.
- Small to minor partials
• Step 3: greywater pumped to the irrigation
What is it?

How it works
• Some water from the river goes into the pipeline.
• The pipeline goes to a turbine.
• The turbine powers a generator
• The generator is controlled by the regulator.
• Then the energy goes to the electrical wires, that power the house.
What is it?
• Geothermal energy uses the heat that is buried a few feet under ground.
• The heat that is underground is always there and the temperature never changes.
How it works
• 1. The loop: This is the part that is put underground.
• It has water that is moving through the pipes that collects the heat.
• 2. Geothermal Heat Pump:
• This is in the building and controls the energy to be hot or cold.
• 3. Distribution System: This is the ducks that run through out the home.

• About 90% of our time is spent indoors
• Spending so much time inside can develop respiratory and neurologic system, allergies, asthma and lung cancer.
• Indoor mold and dampness are usually the reasons behind the increased respiratory issues.
• There are two main types of radiant floor heating.
- Electric wires
- Hydronic tubing
• The electric wiring is used more for smaller spaces
• The Hydronic heating is used for more wide spread spaces.
• Electric is wires running underneath the floors.
• Hydronic tubing is tubes of hot water underneath the floors.
• Radiant floor heating eliminates vents, which will eliminates allergens.
