The autumn and winter season is just around the corner again. The days are getting shorter, the air fresher, and we are slowly getting ready for those cosy months when we spend more time indoors. I live on the top floor of an old commercial building, with a beautiful view over the water. But no matter how beautiful that view is, as soon as the first autumn storm arrives and the wind howls around the house, there is nothing better for me than retreating to my bedroom.

Snuggling in bed, under a soft duvet cover, with a good movie or series on — that is pure peace to me. My bedroom truly feels like my sanctuary: a place where I can recharge, relax, and truly come to myself. As I always say: the bedroom is your second living room, perhaps even the most important one at this time of year.

With a few simple additions, you can quickly create that warm, inviting atmosphere. A beautiful rug under the bed, spacious nightstands, and a stack of good books provide comfort and character. Soft lighting, warm tones, and rich materials complete the look. But of course, nothing beats fresh, new bedding that invites you to dive right in.
