Facade Project

2026 - First Semester 5th Year

This project explores the Domino system as a generator for façade design through proportional and geometric operations. A module is derived from the original Domino elevation and repeated across the boundary, forming a grid that extends beyond the original frame. By overlapping this shifted grid with the Domino’s structural logic—boundary lines, centerlines, and slab edges—the façade is produced through moments of alignment and misalignment. The result is a wall that reflects the Domino’s internal order while suggesting spatial continuity beyond its limits.

As the introductory project for the semester, the façade introduced a formalist approach to design that emphasizes internal transformation and pure form over external meaning.

Jackson Kintsugi

2026 - First Semester 5th Year

The brief for the Kintsugi Project asks for the development of a projective city plan for a fragment of Jackson, Mississippi, in which intervention becomes the “gold” that binds the city’s fractures. Following a reading of Aldo Rossi’s The Architecture of the City, the project is grounded in the conception of the city as an artifact whose meaning is produced both internally and externally—formed through collective history, memory, and use rather than singular events alone.

An initial study of the logic of Jackson’s city grid across successive historical periods established the framework for the project. Through an analysis of the original city grid as a form of urban “DNA,” and its subsequent transformations, the project seeks to simulate the notational effects of urban evolution. Transformative historical moments are represented analogously through the recomposition of Jackson’s grid onto the given site.

The resulting city grid embodies two successive states separated by a transformative event; however, the tension within the system emerges from the deliberate removal of any definitive trace of that event itself. Typological buildings articulate the internal logics of the grid and expose their collisions at points of seam and overlap. Indexical monuments mark traces of an invented past, operating as urban artifacts whose meanings shift as they are reinserted into a new and altered city structure.

nspired by Kuma and DP6, this project utilizes a square grid framework to encase CLT volumes, seamlessly integrating with the environment. The innovative structural concept employs preassembled cubes, allowing scalability and adaptability.

nspired by Kuma and DP6, this project utilizes a square grid framework to encase CLT volumes, seamlessly integrating with the environment. The innovative structural concept employs preassembled cubes, allowing scalability and adaptability. Prefabricated CLT volumes form clusters, fostering community and blurring indooroutdoor boundaries. This approach enhances connectivity and unity within the campus-like setting

The project had two primary objectives: exploring modular, prefabricated design and fostering unity within the Forestry Department. By analyzing the site’s program, we developed new pedestrian walkways and enhanced existing ones to connect the campus and promote outdoor exploration

The Rendezvous on Jefferson

2022 - Multi-family Housing Studio

Designed to be resistant to changing times and avoiding the fate of becoming another abandoned building in downtown Memphis, this initiative incorporates an experimental exoskeleton structure, inspired by projects like The Centre de Pompidou. The building is easily transformable from a housing project to an office space, artist studio, or any other designation, ensuring its adaptability and longevity.

In order to avoid becoming one of downtown Memphis’ many abandoned buildings, this multi-family project is designed to allow for interior gutting in the case of a change of owner or designation.

The Bench

2021 - Collaborative Studio

Executing an ambitious design, this precast parking garage project demonstrates a detail-oriented approach, thoroughly comprehending the intricacies of its structural material. Meticulously designing the precast structure, folded plate roof system, and exterior panels, the project adeptly translates the material’s limitations and possibilities into a tangible form.
