ARCADIA VIETNAM VETERANS MEMORIAL TO OBSERVE FIRST ANNIVERSARY Hundreds Expected to Visit Monument During Memorial Day Weekend
O
n Saturday, May 27, The Arcadia Vietnam War Monument will be observing its one year anniversary in the Arcadia County Park at LA County Supervisor Kathryn Barger's 201h Annual Memorial Day Tribute to Veterans and Military Families from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Hundreds of veterans, families and friends attend this annual event; and no less are expected this year, especially with the Arcadia Monument’s one year commemoration. War Monument recently said: "This annual veteran event hosted by Supervisor Barger and the County of Los Angeles recognizes that it has become tradition and pays tribute to all our military service veterans and military families wherever they may be. It is always something to look forward to and is a great segue to Memorial Day Monday on May 29." NEWCOMERS AND FRIENDS OF SAN Coyote Management GABRIEL VALLEY MEET JUNE 7 Plan Town Hall Meeting In response to increasing community concerns regarding coyotes in Arcadia neighborhoods, in April the City Council directed the City Manager to develop a Coyote Management Plan to provide guidance for the community and City staff in response to frequent human/coyote interactions in Arcadia.
