Local Residents Fearful After Fifth Fatality in Monrovia/Duarte Area Another teenager dead after gunfire erupts Sunday morning

n Arcadia teen died following a shooting in a residential neighborhood between Monrovia and Duarte early Sunday, according to a written report from LASD. Gabriel Shea Carlos died at approximately 1:40 a.m. after the shooting that occurred at the 400 block of Shrode Avenue, an unincorporated area of Duarte/ Monrovia. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing their investigation into the shooting death of Carlos and actively following up on witness accounts for the shooting, and the two men who allegedly ran away from the

1984 Olympic Silver Medalist Charged With Child Abuse A former Olympic silver medalist been charged with reaching out to a teen girl for sexual purposes over two months. Danny Lee Harris of Pasadena has been charged with six counts in case GA101246: two counts each of contact with minor for sexual offense, child abuse and child annoyance. Harris was arraigned Tuesday in Department of the Los Angeles County

Superior Court, Alhambra Branch Prosecutors asked for $200,000 bail. Harris denied two counts of contact with a minor for sexual offence, two counts of child abuse and two counts of child annoyance. A Peacock walks into a liquor store! It sounds like the beginning of a really bad joke, but for one Arcadia store manager, it was all too real and looking back now, he can truly have a good laugh about the unexpected guest. It was an uneventful day at a Royal Oaks liquor store on First Avenue at about 8:20 a.m. Monday morning until a customer alerted the manager that there was a “chicken” in the store.
