The incident occurred on Friday, May 26, 2017, at 8:13 p.m. at North 1st Avenue and East Colorado Boulevard in the city of Arcadia. A teenager who was shot and killed by an off-duty U.S. Customers and Border Protection agent, in what officials said was an alleged attempted robbery Friday, has been identified by authorities. around the time of 8:15 p.m. in the area of Colorado Boulevard and 1st Avenue after the off-duty officer was allegedly confronted by three teens with what appeared to be a weapon. Detectives have learned that an off-duty Customs and Border Protection Officer was walking along the sidewalk on 1st Street south of Colorado Boulevard, Arcadia, when he was suddenly attacked from behind by three male subjects. One of the subjects hit him in the head several times while another subject pointed what appeared to be a handgun at the victim and demanded his property. According to the LASD, “the victim thought the subjects were going to rob and shoot him so he retrieved his department issued handgun. The victim shot at the teen subjects
