LASD ARRESTS FELON WITH 553 FIREARMS IN UNINCORPORATED LOS ANGELES

A

joint operation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and the California Department of Justice led to the Seizure of 553 firearms in Agua Dulce, Unincorporated Los Angeles County last week. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Palmdale Station received a crime tip that a local man was in possession of a large arsenal of firearms and that he was a convicted felon. The investigation was led by the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station’s Detective Bureau. It included the station’s Summer Crime Enforcement Team, Palmdale Partners Against Crime (Special Problems Unit), the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, and the California Department of Justice. Sheriff's Aviation And San Bernardino County Fire Department Rescues Man San Bernardino County Fire Department and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department received several calls from the public stating there was a male subject at the top of Big Falls yelling for help. Due to the steep and rugged terrain, the crew of Sheriff’s Helicopter 40King1

Anaheim Fire & Rescue Chief to Retire, Capping 40-Year Fire Service Career Anaheim Fire & Rescue Chief Randy Bruegman, who oversaw the city’s response to October’s Canyon Fire 2 and bolstered the department’s firefighting resources after 2008’s Freeway Complex Fire, is retiring later this year.

Bruegman, 62, has led Anaheim Fire & Rescue — the largest municipal fire agency in Orange County — for nearly eight years. His planned retirement caps 40 years in the fire service, including 27 of those as a fire chief.

He will continue to serve as chief through the rest of 2018 and will be available to assist the city as it seeks a new chief. “Serving Anaheim has been the highlight of my more

Long Beach Unemployment Rate Drops to Lowest Point in Nearly 30 Years After reaching incredible unemployment numbers in May 2017 (4.4 percent), the City of Long Beach continued the trend in May 2018, dropping to 4.1 percent, a 10.5 percent drop in the last eight years. There are now a record 230,000 employed residents in the City. “Long Beach is experiencing unprece-

Shooting In Riverside County Results in Death of Male Victim On June 19, 2018, at about 5:38 a.m., officers assigned to the Perris Police Department were dispatched to a report of a man down in the 300 block of E. 7th Street, Perris. Upon arrival, officers located a male suffering from several gunshot

wounds and pronounced the victim deceased. The crime scene was secured, and Perris Station investigators responded to interview residents in the neighborhood. The Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the
