Arcadia P.D. Arrest Three For Burglary Arcadia Police Officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of Anita Crest, on Thursday, April 19, 2018, at approximately 11:43 a.m., on a report of possible residential burglary in progress. Two male subjects were reported exiting a vehicle and entering the backyard of a residence. After the two subjects exited the vehicle, the driver drove away from the location. Officers located the vehicle parked in the area and detained the driver. The two male subjects were observed jumping fences and were ultimately located and detained. A residential burglary was located in the area and all three suspects were arrested.

ity Council delays Mayoral decision 45 days in light of pending investigations of nominee Sho Tay. A crowd gathered around the entrance of the council chambers at Arcadia City Hall on the evening of April 24. Tables had been set up to support the food and refreshments for Arcadians who had turned out to watch the council select a new Mayor. People with signs and a massive banner supporting Mayor Pro Tempore Sho Tay for Mayor chanted and cheered for Tay until the time came for the meeting to convene. The council chambers were filled within minutes, and a cacophony of conversations dominated the room until the lights dimmed and slowly the chatter ceased.

Serious Injury Traffic Collision in Arcadia Arcadia Police Officers were dispatched to the area of 12340 Lower Azusa Road, on a report of a single vehicle having collided with a tree. Officers located a 1996 Chevrolet Astro Van on Lower Azusa Road with extensive damage and discovered the male driver and male passenger trapped inside the vehicle. The occupants of the vehicle were extracted from the Astro Van by Arcadia Fire Department personnel. Once the driver and passenger were removed from the vehicle they were transported to Huntington Memorial Hospital by Paramedics from the Arcadia Fire Department. The extent of the injuries
sustained by either occupant are unknown at this time. The cause of the collision is being investigated by the Arcadia Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team.
