Deputies from the Palm Desert Station responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon, in the 74000 block of Dillon Rd., Sky Valley. Deputies arrived on scene and detained a male subject. While checking the interior of a residence, a male subject was found with a gunshot wound. This subject was pronounced deceased at the scene. A crime scene was established, and investigators from the

Palm Desert Station and the Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit responded to assume the investigation. There are no outstanding suspects being sought at this time.
