WHAT IS HAPPENING AT MONROVIA’S KGEM? Susan MOTANDER motander@yahoo.com

Those who tried to watch the Monrovia City Council Meeting on television on Tuesday may have been disappointed. It was also not available on the KGEM website. Brittany Mello, a management analyst in the City Manager’s Office, worked

with the KGEM staff to correct the problem when she was made aware of it. Shortly after 8 pm, more than half an hour after the meeting began, the cable channel clicked away from the Los Angeles County news broadcast it had been showing the council meeting. Did I mention the three were California Black Bears? Perhaps not. Their genus does not excuse their felonious intent, but does explain it. This was not their first attempt at breaking into my home. THE MONROVIA OLD TOWN REPORT Pam FITZPATRICK, Columnist pam@oldtownreport.com

I do love living in a small town where each individual matters. We all have days when it may not seem so, but it really is so. I smiled when I read the beginning of City Manager Oliver Chi’s ‘City Manager Update’ (which

you can find at www.cityofmonrovia.org). Oliver (who we rarely address as ‘Mr. Chi’} quoted Brandi Snyder: “To the world you may be just one person, but to one SEE OLD TOWN PAGE 11
