he Arcadia City Council met on April 4 for its final meeting under Mayor Peter Amundson’s current term. The next mayor will be voted in by the councilmembers after the election on

April 10. Mayor Amundson’s annual Mayor’s Breakfast will be held at the Arcadia Community Center on April 6, 7:30 a.m. The theme for the Mayor’s Breakfast is “Leaving a Legacy.” During the event, Mayor Amundson will deliver his State of the SEE VOICE OPINIONS PAGE 10

ARCADIA HIGH SENIOR EARNS PERFECT AP EXAM SCORE Arcadia High School senior Ryan Leung can now add the word “perfect” to his resume. 60,519 students across the world took the College Board’s Advanced Placement (AP) Computer Science A Exam in 2017. Leung, and only 111 other students on Earth, earned every possible point on this exam. “I felt pretty confident going into the test, but also a bit nervous,” shared

Arcadia High senior Ryan Leung. “It was pretty exhilarating to get my test results back. I definitely had not been expecting to get a perfect score on the exam, and I never imagined that I'd be able to pull off something like this.” According to the College Board’s AP Exam Program Summary Report, over 4.9 SEE PERFECT PAGE 11

Deadline to Return Arcadia Ballots April 10 The deadline to return ballots in person at the designated drop off location (Arcadia City Hall, City Clerk’s office) is 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, Election Day. After that time, NO hand-delivered ballots will be accepted. Ballots postmarked on or before Tuesday, April 10, and received via postal

service on or before, Friday, April 13, will be part of the second ballot count process. No postage necessary for Ballots placed in the mail.
