n Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at approximately 11:04 am, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff ’s Department, Morongo Basin Station, were conducting an area check in the 7000 block of Sun Fair Road in Joshua Tree. Deputies located a travel trailer, which appeared to be abandoned, and a large rectangular box made of plywood on the property. The property had no electricity or running water. LASD Altadena Mountain Rescue Team Rescue Man

Los Angeles County Sheriff ’s Department Altadena Mountain Rescue Team (MRT) was called to Chaney Trail in Altadena regarding a yell for help. The man was eventually located and flown to a local hospital to be treated for minor injuries and exposure to the elements. While horseback riders were on Chaney Trail

ing freely. While checking the property deputies contacted three victims ages 11,13 and 14. Mona Kirk and Daniel Panico were found on the property and determined to be the parents of the victims. During the investigation, deputies learned the three victims have lived in the large rectangular box, (approximately 20 feet long by 4 feet high by 10 ft wide) for approximately four years. Riverside Extends Agreement on “The Cheech”

The City of Riverside has extended an agreement with the Riverside Art Museum and Cheech Marin by 90 days to allow time to raise the remaining 10 percent of an initial $3 million investment in the Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art, Culture and Industry in downtown Riverside and to finalize agreements between RAM and the City, and RAM and Cheech

On Feb 23, officers were dispatched to the area of the 710 Freeway and Anaheim Street regarding possible traffic accident. The calling party advised there was a small white car that may have been involved in an accident; the car was stopped on the greenery of the on-ramp to the 710 freeway. Upon arrival officers found an unresponsive male adult. The vehicle appeared to have driven off roadway into ivy at slow speeds. Long Beach Fire responded and determined the subject deceased at the scene. Further investigation found that the victim had what appears to be a gunshot wound to his upper torso. Unknown exactly where shooting occurred. Homicide detectives responded and the investigation is ongoing. The victim has been identified as Glen Chico, 31 of Long Beach. Anaheim was closed in both directions from Oregon to Harbor as was southbound 710 to eastbound Anaheim and northbound 710 to westbound Anaheim, for several hours.
