Warrant Service Leads To Arrest In Riverside On 02/20/18, officers from the Temecula Special Enforcement Team (SET) received information regarding the possible whereabouts of two subjects wanted on outstanding felony warrants. The subjects were reportedly living in a travel trailer on a piece of property within the 32300 block of Yates Rd. Officers arrived at the location and approached the travel trailer on the property. As the officers made their approach, a male subject immediately fled on foot onto a neighboring property. The subjects efforts to elude the officers on foot failed and he was ultimately intercepted and arrested without incident. The male was later identified as Che Smith, 27 years from French Valley. Smith had two (2) active felony warrants for his arrest (1-Vehicle Theft from Orange County, 1-Violation of PRCS from Riverside County). Cheyenne Hunter, 25 years from French Valley was located and detained outside of the travel trailer without incident. Hunter had one (1) active felony warrant for her arrest (Grand Theft from Riverside County). As the officers were taking Hunter into custody they became SEE PAGE 2

6-Year-Old Girl Killed By Anaheim Drunk Driver While Playing In Front Yard On Saturday, February 17, 2018 at approximately 2:14 PM, Fullerton Police Officers responded to the 1400 block of Lombard Street regarding reports of a child being struck by a car. Upon arrival, officers located a 6-year-old girl with significant, life threatening injuries lying on the east sidewalk of Lombard Street. The 6-yearold female was immediately transported to a local trauma center where, tragically, she was pronounced deceased shortly af-

Preliminary investigation reveals that Maximino Delgado (52, Anaheim) was travelling eastbound on Gage Ave, in a 1990 Toyota 4Runner, and he attempted to make a southbound turn on Lombard Street. Delgado lost control of the vehicle as he tried to make the turn and he drove onto the sidewalk, striking the 6-year-old female who was outside SEE PAGE 3

SAN BERNARDINO MAN ARRESTED FOR POSESSION On Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at approximately 3:35 pm, deputies from the Highland Police Department were investigating a stolen vehicle at the location. A citizen witness flagged down Deputy Jon Ramstad and told him he witnessed a “hand to hand” drug transaction nearby. The witness described the vehicle and direction of travel. Deputy Ramstad located the vehicle at Baseline and Osbun and contacted the driver, Dale Yeager. When Yeager’s vehicle was searched, a dummy aerosol can was found that had a hidden compartment. Inside the compartment were 22 grams of methamphetamine, all packaged for sales. Dale Yeager is a career criminal and is currently on AB109 PRCS Felony Probation for PC459, Burglary and HS11378 Possession of Controlled Substances for Sale. As a part of Governor Jerry Brown’s Realignment Plan, or Assembly Bill 109, to comply with a U.S. Supreme Court decision requiring the state to lower its prison population by 30,000; offenders with non-violent, non-sexual and non-serious convictions will serve reduced sentences in county jails and be placed on local supervision through county Probation. This is Yeager’s fourth PRCS booking violation since 2013.

Two Sentenced to Prison for Sex Trafficking in Long Beach Two men were sentenced to prison for trafficking a woman and teen for the purpose of sex in 2015, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced. On Jan. 24, Bobby Joe King, 25, pleaded no contest to a felony count of human trafficking to commit another crime in case NA103428. The defendant also admitted a special allegation that the crime was committed for the benefit of, at the direction

of, and in association with a criminal street gang with the specific intent to promote, further and assist in criminal conduct by gang members. King’s co-defendant, James Mark, 27, pleaded no contest to human trafficking of a minor for a commercial sex act. Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Richard R.
