Triple Crown Winner American Pharoah back at his barn at Santa Anita BY TERRY MILLER Triple Crown champion American Pharoah arrived back at his barn at Santa Anita Thursday from Churchill Downs. Arriving First Class Air on ‘ Air Horse One’ the Triple Crown winner seemed relaxed albeit a bit tired from his travels. The 3-year-old colt, owned and bred by Ahmed Zayat and trained by Bob Baffert, landed at Ontario International Airport from Louisville Thursday morning, around 9:45 am. He was transported with a sixunit law enforcement code 3 escort to Santa Anita. Among those to greet American Pharoah were hundreds of media as well as some celebrities, although this reporter saw none. But then, we were there for the real celebrity, American Pharoah. Triple Crown winning jockey Victor Espinoza and trainer Bob Baffert walked the colt around the barn area upon his arrival. He then had a nice cool bath. American Pharoah will make a public appearance between races at Santa Anita on Gold Cup at Santa Anita Day, Saturday, June 27. The champion colt paraded at Churchill Downs last Saturday.
