Unmaintained Swimming Pools Becoming Breeding Grounds for Mosquitos

Mike Ingram, Air Operations for Pasadena Police Department, arranged for Vector Control specialist 1, Leslie Conner to fly around the Valley in search of more pools that may be contributing to mosquito population and thus increasing the chance West Nile Virus. Pasadena Independent went along for the ride with pilot TJ Gonzales and Sean PorterTactical Flight Officer. Lt. Ingram pointed out that Vector Control San Gabriel Valley and Pasadena Police Air Operations also work in conjunction with FAST- Foothill Air Support Team and routinely service SEE PG. 10

The Azusa City Council on Monday unanimously approved a fiscal year 2015-16 overall city budget totaling $162.8 million. The city's general fund, which covers most public services, amounts to $36.4 million, and the enterprise fund, which covers expenditures for utilities, sewer service and trash collection totals $80.4 million, according to a city staff report.
