Severely Redacted Audit on Pasadena Alternatives Police Detective Bureau Finally Released Proposed By terry miller to SR-710 Tunnel
A heavily-redacted but widely anticipated audit report on the Pasadena Police Department Detective Bureau was released Friday after months of court delays. The report cites findings of poor record keeping, supervision, and investigative techniques made public last month in a summary that was leaked to media. According to attorney Skip Hickambotton: “Approximately 22.4% of the Report is redacted. (751 lines have redactions and there are 29 lines per pages. The Report has 116 numbered pages – the numbered pages do not include the cover page and other preliminary pages. 751 lines approximate 25.9 pages of the 116 page report.) “We have not yet had the time to compare the previouslyreleased Executive Summary with this redacted Report to determine what is new.

Monday night’s meeting of the Pasadena City Council was held in the Pasadena Convention Center rather than the City Council Chamber to accommodate a larger number of citizens than normal. The one item on the agenda consisted of looking into ways in which the logistical demand of connecting the two existing stubs of the SR-710 freeway could finally be met after nearly 50 years of opposition from communities along the proposed route. All throughout the evening, the phrase “move people not cars” kept coming up. During public comment, many citizens expressed the common view that the traffic solutions of Southern

As heart attacks claim more lives each year nationwide than any other cause of death, an Arcadia-based doctor has launched a crusade to increase awareness that he hopes will lead to reduced lag time between the onset of symptoms and applying a key life-saving medical procedure. Dr. Terrence Baruch is the director of Methodist Hospital's Cardiac Catheterization Lab, which provides what he describes as the most effective treatment to date for countering the deadly effects of heart attacks resulting from clogged arteries. Since last year Baruch has been on a mission that aims to more quickly get heart attack patients into facilities offering
