Police Chief Sanchez Discusses Audit by nick kipley After this Monday’s meeting of the Public Safety Committee, there was much deliberation by Pasadena residents over the Performance Audit of Detective Operations issued by the Veritas Assurance Group, Inc. The comprehensive report outlines weaknesses in the current policies and procedures that the Pasadena Police Department follows; and the audit report makes sure that the remedies to adjusting these policies pack a certain heft to them. In interviewing Police Chief Sanchez of the Pasadena Police Department, one of the first things that became apparent is that the Chief is grateful that the audit was able to expose so many weaknesses in the Pasadena Police Department. Norooz, the Iranian New Year which is the beginning of the spring in harmony with the rebirth of nature, will occur from 3:45 -11 p.m. on Friday, March 20th, 2015 (PST). Farhang Foundation, in collaboration with the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), hosts its seventh annual Norooz festival at the museum. Scathing Report on Police Rouses City Officials After a year and a half, a damning report on the Pasadena Police Department’s detectives was finally released: a 74-page executive summary of the outside civilian review. The report makes 58 recommendations for reform of the Pasadena PD’s detective operations. Elbie J.
